My daughter passed away on 09/23/2022. This was the most heartbreaking day of my life. I will greive for my child until I take my last breath. Mama still loves you so much Kristi.
I can relate to this song so much. I lost my 1st son one month after his 20th birthday, after a car hit and killed him crossing the road. My 2nd son, my baby, was in a horrible accident at the age of 22 and was left a quadriplegic. He passed away at the age of 31. I believe I will see them again one day, but until then I will forever miss you Andy and KJ.

@Craig Morgan…I have a friend whose young son wad taken from her way too early in a 4-wheeler accident. I literally don’t know what to say to her ever. But I sent this to her. It’s blessed us both so much!! Thank you for being so raw and vulnerable for us!!
I have never had children but my sister lost her 17 year old son while he was fishing and got struck by lightning. He was my nephew and I miss him every day. I pray for you and your family. You are a great singer and I am so sorry for your loss!

Absolutely God inspired song. I know what he means when he mentions what it was like when CeCe Winans sang. She sang at my uncle's funeral in Cleveland TN and I was simply in awe.
I lost my youngest son January 6th 2018 and I’ve tried but after these few years i still can’t get up, i try but his memory and the grief knocks me back down. I’ve lost many people in my life but losing my son is something i just can’t cope with. I came across this song and listened to the words but they seem to went right through me. I’ve been deserted by people who i thought were friends but i can’t blame them i don’t like being around me either. Later on i will try and listen to this song again
I lost my daughter in September and I'm going through what you are, with friends. My family from day one have not shown any respect or support other than one nephew and one niece. I have two sisters and two brothers and they act as if nothing ever happened. My other child, son-in-law and five grandchildren are my support and I'm their support. All we can do is pray and make it through our ups and downs. 🙏🙏🙏
@@myrtellelee2857 Please try to not be too hard on your siblings. They may just not know what to do or how to act. They probably want to help, but they have no idea how to. They might think it's better for you for them to show you life going on because talking about the loss may hurt too much. Grief is so hard, and we're not told much about how to deal with it. I hope time can heal all of you in all of the ways you need healing.
I can only imagine how painful that song was for him to write and cannot even fathom having the strength to sing it over and over. I too have lost a son, on Memorial Day Monday, and to this day I despise even getting close to that holiday! And to further empathize, my son was not yet an adult when I lost hime 45 years ago, but again I cannot fathom the loss of an adult son!
I can relate to this song with a full aching heart on the lost of our 20y/o son Garrett Matthew, it is the most touching song, beautiful and he is so real as to how child loss feels, very touching❤️

I can really relate to this song. My son (grandson) I call him my son because I had custody and raised him died at age 25 and I also l lost his father my birth son at age 43. My life will never be the same.
My oldest son died 18 years ago. I told my friends and family I could not write his eulogy. A couple days later I sat at my desk for no apparent reason. Then I found myself writing. 20 minutes later my son's eulogy was finished. God works wonders.

Craig--- I relate to you when you say you dont remember who was there-- My husband completed suicide in 2005-- I dont remember making funeral arrangements for him, or being at the visitation/funeral-- everything is blank-- I was numb. Granted, my situation was different and many people were very hostile towards me and more "pointing blame" than being sympathetic-- my doctor had me pretty medicated.
