Watcheing your videos makes me only more excited to start my flip-flop NOBO journey in April 2017. Love your videos and thank you for sharing your journey.
absolutely magnificent! America at its most beautiful! Great idea about waiting for the day. ,great footage. Awesome video. Franconia ridge is definitely a national treasure. You are on an amazing journey and we in Central New York are all routing for you. Enjoy your journey take it all in. I am so glad to see you stop and enjoy all the awesome beauty of nature.
Craig, thank you for doing capturing that spectacular footage and rendering it down to 7+ minutes for us to enjoy. Very few hikers have mastered both video and audio production like you have. Most high elevation videos I watch are muffled with wind, which really kills the viewing experience. I can't wait to see your video from the Presidential range. - LightWalker
Craig, I feel guilty that I haven't commented on your prior videos but I have been thoroughly enjoying your journey! I've told so many folks about the inspiring feeling I get after listening to your commentary and seeing the majesty of our beautiful country you've witnessed on the AT! Keep going strong and know that I may be one of the few Delawareans following you but know that you have many Spielberg fans here in the First State!
first of all i would like to say thank you so very much for sharing your journey it has been amazing i am planning a 2 week section hike in the spring i'm still up in the air as where i wanna start there are so many amazing things to see on the trail best wishes and safe hiking
Hey Baskets! I’m going through old comments I somehow missed and clearing them out and thought this would be a great opportunity to check in and let you know I’m still enjoying your channel and find your yard sale treasure finds and ebay content fascinating, even though I’m subscribed for the hiking. I seem to remember that you were planning on a thru hike this year, but I just went to your channel and couldn’t find which trail. Anyway, whatever you end up doing this year I wish you well and congratulations on the engagement!!!
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I have greatly enjoyed all of your videos and have appreciated your insights along the way. I cannot wait until I get to experience the AT in person.
Spectacular. I still remember visiting Franconia Notch and taking the aerial tramway up to the top of Cannon Mountain. Thanks for the spectacular views. :)
Wow, awesome, magnificent panoramas, wonderful nature - a visual treat. Very nice, it has made it to look so much joy. Best regards from Germany, Angela :))
Awesome coverage, Thank you for sharing. Maybe you can post the extended version one day. I've seen several other videos on this section, but yours certainly has me ready to plan a trip!
This is the moment that I wait to see in every thru hiker's videos. New Hampshire. My home state You didn't mention Mt. Washington as being a hike that is recommended as best on a clear day, but I recommend you hike that in good weather, too. Franconia Ridge is a very popular hike and from the looks of it you were up there on a Sat. or Sun. Just like Franconia Ridge, Washington and Katahdin when the weather is nice the top gets crowded on weekends. Awesome footage and a very nice tribute to what I could experience if I drove "up north" (45 to 90 miles away from my hometown) every day.
That was amazing footage of Franconia Ridge!! I think it's my favorite of all that I've seen. I'm obsessed with that area and hope to get there someday. I'm glad you waited for the perfect day because you certainly had that!! Stunning!!
Day 150 Franconia Ridge 00:19 45 min of climbing & steep angle. Took a zero for good weather 1:26 Temp dropped 25-30* 2:07 3 mile ridge walk. Beautiful! one of top days on the AT
Craig - I know you have the iPhone 6S plus - where do you keep it handy while hiking? I've been looking at the packs shoulder pouch, but not sure it would fit in there. Thank you so much - SO enjoying your videos!!
