I got my dog from craigslist, I was 10yrs old, my parent are idiots. She was marketed as a purebred German Shepherd, surprise surprise she wasn't. We ended up getting a hyperactive GSD/Collie/Border Collie cross. She's an anxious nightmare, but we love her. She's the best mistake we ever made.
Yeah, if your looking to buy expensive / commonly bred to be sold dog breeds or sketchy stuff online, try to get in contact with the owners I know a dog breeder and she allows people to FaceTime her and see puppies so they know it’s real, and most likely, not a scam. If it’s buying a 6 yr dog and they don’t show many pictures or let you visit to see if you like the dog (kinda like dog shelters do) it could be a bit sketchy and a scam. Please, just be careful, all dogs deserved to be loved but by owners who know what the dog is, and that they really wanted that dog. Others don’t care much about the breed, sometimes they want a dog. But please *be careful.*
The torobread and qhorse are one of the most ✨MAJESTIC✨ animals in the world! They come from the little known hidden island of “Unable-to-spell-or-use-proper-grammar” Such amazing horses!
Torobreds are to die for😍 And think they mean they don't know the breed and they Are making a new breed for the horse. Also there's somebody on Pinterest that I saw riding with her reins SO tight and the horse was bobing it's head and kinda dragging its feet... It looked really horrible..
Ah of course we can’t forget the torobread. The most delicious type of bread. So crumbly that it melts in the mouth. Gosh, we wouldn’t survive without it.
When I was boarding in NY(back in 2000) it was 650/mo for a family owned facility. Now, a similar place is 900+. No indoor, just an outdoor ring, and it backed a county park for trails.
The "Backyard Boarding" ad stated "owner feeds". What they meant is that the horse owner must come everyday to feed their horse, not the property owner. The property owner will feed your horse for you for an additional $20/day fee.
The place where i board my horse is 175 a month comes with stalls, 5 different fields ( depending on your horse) two arenas trailer parking a private trail, feed, and tack (for lesson kids),hay and WATER is free)
I'm an older rider and I'm blessed by the best horse. He helps me get off and on. I would not be able to get off without the equipment I have. I would never have to have an interaction like this. One he knows that I'm listening to what he is communicating and he trusts me to make a safe decision for us. People that ride need to figure out that sometimes your horse knows something you don't.
When Raleigh made her first craigslist vid, I laughed because I've gotten most of my horses from craigslist (& some nice saddles & tack)😅 Obvisouly nothing like champion horse quality (except for my one mini) but they ended up being great horses. But there is a lot of garbage on Craigslist though. & really sad seeing so many ads of obvious uneducated owners. I waited & looked through a lot of ads to look for those diamond in the roughs. I had hard time using other sites because they either were expensive horses, low user usage, or bad user interface. Craigslist is outdated but at least a simpler web design, prob why so many ppl use it😅 Where do u guys like to look for reasonably priced horses w/ good user usage?
you can find inexpensive horses on dreamhorse.com or equinenow.com, even petfinder.com if you're looking to adopt. Canterusa.org is also an adoption organization for TBs
@@RaleighLink I'm looking for horses right now, and we went up to look at a few horses up at a place that takes horses off the track to restart them for different disciplines! It was actually a really cute place and all the horses were super friendly and sweet. Pretty sure the name was Win, Place, Home.
The second "boarding facility" was a WTF for me as it said grain and hay storage so I was like "Are they suggesting I still supply the grain and hay while paying them $200 a month?". The Torobred thing would be cute if it only said that in the manufactures space and they actually put Thoroughbred anywhere else on the ad like they knew what they were talking about. This may be more likely for me as Toro motors garden company HQ is located in my state so all of their riding mowers and trailers sell well locally here.
Can't wait to watch this😂 can't wait to see if that how they really spelled that lol. I have to watch it 3 hours after it premieres bc I will be in school😢 btw love your vids 😎
Your first advert looks like the Sonoran desert near Tucson, AZ. Other than the luxury barns, all the ones I’ve seen are paddocks with shelters. Some have a stall with permanent opening to paddock. There is no grass, but there is a very real need for air circulation, cover from torrential rains, and shade. Hay comes from places with enough water for irrigation and that = expensive.
Too funny! 🤣 Good luck in WA! I have lived in western WA for close to half my life! Eastern WA, if that's where you're going, has more open farmland and a lot less rain!! 😉 Either way I think you will fit in well and I wish you the best! Luv ya Raleigh! 🥰❤
My Neighbours used to let horses board on their front section of land, they had sheep on their back section. Their were two horse sections and I remember they had six horse their with three in each section but my they had ten to fifteen acres of land with and open shed for shelter and a water trove as my neighbours used to own cows before they got to old for them
Who doesn't love the majestic and RARE Torobread! Part Bull, part bread....and BONUS!Part Q-HORSE! That is one heckova deal right thurrr. xD Sorry, I can't i'm choking/dying rn dear lorrrttt. But I do hope that poor mare finds a GOOD home, and fast! ;_;
We pay $1200 bc we get extra feed, it’s indoor outdoor boarding, they have 2 arenas one inside and one outside, as well as you can ride for free whenever you only pay for a coach if you have a lesson. They also have indoor wash racks, supply a vet and farrier on schedule, and will lunge or ride your horse for you if you ask (and pay)
I've been told that I am not a horse person, and in fact "know nothing" about horses (because I've never owned one), but even so I'm pretty sure the print ad I saw many years ago was not quite right. It advertised a Kiger Mustang yearling with "dorsal stripes on legs". 😆
From what I can tell boarding prices are very dependent on location, as the barn I go to is pretty beat up and minimum (horses stalled, stalls cleaned and horses fed, by the barn owner. Owners responsible for all handling). There’s an indoor arena, 1 indoor round pen, and 3 outdoor round pens. $450/month. One of the only boarding facilities, if not the only one I believe, in about a half an hour radius. I’m not certain since I haven’t looked much into it, but that’s what it seems like
Self care where the owner provides and does all the work within an hour of Nashville generally starts at $250 full care board you might find somewhere at 450 but probably not pasture board where you literally just leave your horse in a field and hope it doesn't die starts around 150 a month so again where you're at really affects the prices
Oooh I want a torobread qhorse! That is my dream breed! Everyone cLeArLy knows about torobread qhorses they are the the most cOmMoN qhorses in the world! 😂
Raleigh you should look into the “torobread” and buy it. I mean I’m not forcing you too but it looks like it’s in a terrible living situation. Like poor mama😢
Don’t you know? Torobread qhorses are born unsound and stay that way! The thing that differentiates them is the scar! All jokes aside- yeah that horse looks to be in awful shape and I feel horrible for her. It also begs the question, what does the baby look like? Clearly they just wanted the baby, but if they are willing to do that to any horse, what are they willing to do to the baby that doesn’t know anything??
A Torobred doesn't capture my interest, but love that this mare is trained by the q method..does everything on g right. Seriously though I do hope the skinny mare gets a better home.Where in Washington are you moving to. I live in Spokane. Welcome to our beautiful state.
