I'm so happy and thankful that you've made a full tutorial about an incredibly popular remix of yours. Its great when artists and producers aren't afraid to show and explain how they work and how they create a remix or a song from scratch, therefore inspiring future producers/artists to create bigger and better projects. I'm hoping you'll do more of these types of videos in the future, and I also hope other producers/artists will follow suit. :)
Dude this was amazing please do more of these. I would love to know how you process your 808 and basses on your tracks. Great use of your voice for the drop, very creative man. 🙏🏼🙌🏽
LOVE this. Thanks so much brother. If you do another one, don't be afraid to let your demonstrations play through fully. I know it seems boring to you, but to us it's useful to hear the full parts play out.
Thank you! It is essential for upcoming producers to have a taste of the details and the mix that a professional puts into his creations! So... I am grateful and looking forward to your next video! Hextasy
Sick!!! Btw! When you're making a patch with 16 voices it takes a lot of cpu (ram) and that's why it was lagging during the drop. To fix it, increase your latency (buffer size) to the maximum (i think it's 2048 samples) You will find it in Ableton's preference : preference --> Audio --> Latency --> Buffer Size. What it does, it give your computer more time to calculate all your synth. If it's still lagging, freeze your track by right clicking on them. :)
More more more! Really appreciate you doing this! Let's see Reasons to Run next! Saw Marshy in Brooklyn this weekend- he dropped that and people went nuts (myself included)
BRO I LOVE ALL YOUR REMIXES AND THANKS FOR THIS TUTORIAL THIS WILL REALLY HELP PEOPLE LIKE US AND HELP US GET BETTER IN MAKING MUSIC THANK YOU BRO AND WE LOVE YOU✨!!and your music!!
Hey man thanks for the video! It really does show how most producers overthink everything and how we miss the bigger picture a lot. One thing I would ask for the next video to cover how you did the vocal lead thing you did with the drop. That blows my mind. Also, one more thing I wanted to ask is if you are looking for an intern/ protege for the summer? I am looking for an internship but want to work with someone like yourself. Thanks again man for the video!
Sick video! One of the better explanations I've seen. I noticed you used a bunch of sounds from a KSHMR sample pack, do you have to give him credit or compensation for that?
thank you so much for sharing, even tho you don't really show HOW to create every sound but that would be taking a lot of time i feel thankfull just for puttin out what you did on every track of the mixdown
Just a question,in your drop sounds everythings in mono? Chords, mid bass and sub? Beacuse Also at the intro as that low reese that i suppose It s not totally mono, and then It s layered with a mono 808. Could i know more about It? Thanks
How exactly did you learn all these techniques (such as using LFO)? What inspired you to insert all these Fx? What tips would you give to a beginning remixer?

Very very very very Very very very very Very very very very Very very very very Very very very very Very very very very Very very very very Very very very very complex Crankdat this track is fantastik 👍❤
Hell ya boi! You should really consider doing one of these for 'Say Things' By far your best track. Also, grouping your drums into a 'Drums Group', your leads into a 'Leads Group', subs in 'Sub Group' etc, will make the tutorial easier to understand, as well as make your own life easier ;)
When you say that "normally you make a track in a day or two" How many hours is that? I'm going to assume that you don't mean a FULL day, so just out of curiosity, how many hours do you mean when you say a day or two?
Very Dope, Would love to see how you chopped and processed the vocal riser. starts at 27:17 'Feel just like a rockstar...rockstar...rockstar" and then repeats super fast while pitching up. Just done so smoothly.
I love this remix so much and I have tried making a Twitter and a Facebook account to ask you if I could use this song for a launchpad cover. You might not see this but if you do pls tell me if I can use it or not
Donky yo so this is a really really good question - I like many other producers choose not to show what I use when I master. Only because it’s how I achieve a very specific sound. However, I will tell you that it’s very simple, it’s basically a multiband compressor to compress the low end and then a regular compressor to squish the whole thing. It’s not very intricate, but I still don’t really wanna show EXACTLY what it is yanno, hopefully this helped a little tho
Awesome!! I had the same doubt how the biggest producers reach this dynamic range. I mean, this method doesn't squish the dynamic? Is not better to mix at low volumes for more dynamic?Someone to explain to me? I'm really confused :X
Mateus Melo if you are a beginner its better to keep -6 dB of headroom but if you have a lot of experience you can make your mixes with limiter, compressors etc on master channel. Its just depends on your workflow. Remember that it doesnt matter how its done, its important how it sounds.
Donky I understand. If I keep -6 dB for headroom and adding a multiband compressor for gain can I reach the same "loudness" just like he did, not decreasing the volume? I'm not sure if I was clear. However I have some experience, not professional, but I notice that my track has a lot of dynamic range but not enough RMS(-20). Any suggestions on how to raise this RMS?
