If this video proves anything it is that you don't just need luck, or talent, or dedication, or time in the game, or connections. You need all of it and even then you might not make it.
it's most likely going to feel like any other job by the time it consistently feeds you, except even more stressful due to extremely high competition and lack of guaranteed minimum wage
Been in the industry for 13 years. Without stacks and major backing, it’s a grind. If you’re a musician, producer, vocalist whatever-keep grinding. Hopefully you will find your sound and get to where you want to be. Don’t be discouraged. This industry is TOUGH.
this video actually proves lots of luck is needed. You didn't blow up even if you have decades of experience and the song and video were high quality too
@@mattia2837 Experience and a nice camera/mic are things you earn. You don’t have to be lucky to spend your time investing in your skill sets or material objects. You could save up money and buy the equipment you need, pirate the software if necessary.
fact is there just isnt room for everyone in an industry like this, you gotta have something that people wanna hear and everyone cant create that. if you cant be a creator and still wanna be in the industry you can try many different avenues to get there. keep going til you're literally unable to any more so you can say you tried your hardest for your whole life and not look back with regret
Thank you very much for this video! As a band we have just started to release our songs and some videos. It's actually quite frustrating to see so few clicks on our content while the work behind it is just huge. But your video has more or less set our expectations straight in this case. Thank you very much for that 😊❤
@@ishippedmybed would your mind be blown if you knew that prison break and conspiracy to break out of prison is completely legal in Mexico, Germany, and Austria?
Is the message that people find Drake clone rappers on lazy trap beats uninteresting? To me the main takeaway is that they put a ton of effort into using formulated marketing tactics on a really boring song, instead of just presenting 'guy in ski mask' and spending more time on the music.
its really all about the journey, the people you get to meet, the moments you make something fire and you appreciate your craft even more, the people you learned from. when you can't seem to make any good shit you just appreciate when you make good shit even more. it wouldn't be fun if you could blow up over night
I'm glad you still put this video out even though you didn't get the result you wanted. It shows the real side of content creation and not just the rare instant successes that make everyone think it's so easy
Let me just say, post Malone blew up over night with white iverson and is now one of the biggest artist in the world 😂. Stories like that are crazy, and rarely rarely happen. But it’s always something to chase, “maybe this one will be the one that pops off” and if it doesn’t then just keep grinding. Everyone here reading this comment I wish you the best of luck, but never stop putting in that work. You got this and you can succeed 🙏
@@gavinhicks7621 yeah I get what you’re saying bro but look at the interviews. Post admitted yeah he played guitar and all that for years loving and making music but he was only 18 or 19 when he made white iverson and he even said it was the first song he dropped publicly.
Thank you Kyle. I lately got into production after years of piano and freestyle nonsense just for fun and my friends. This gave me the boost to get at it, as a true Kyleastic myself.. working a full time remote job :)
@@blayneofficialI mean it's true you can start from nothing but there comes a time when, especially in 2023 with social media and the importance of technology and all, where you have to have money and a whole budget to really step up your game
@@blayneofficialYou can make it big without money but it's very difficult. In the modern era you can blow up a song just by paying popular TikTok influencers to dance to it or what not
Great job....I think this shows a lot on how artists think nowadays....this is the perfect example....and you actually made it very interesting to see results.💪🔥
Youve kept it genuine ever since I’ve watched your videos years ago which is the reason i’m still subscribed. Your videos inspire me to work on my own beats, appreciate you fam 🙏🏽
damn no cap i thought ya'll was gonna do it but I'm glad ya'll didn't coz people need to know this not easy and to keep going no matter what if it's what they really want!
The way you show everybody literally every way you make it and some of these people don’t take any of this advice. I love watching your videos. It’s another inspiration to keep going cuz I know the dedication I got is gonna keep me in this space. 🤘
Loved this one, the way you show not only the beatmaking but also laying down vocals is why I keep coming back, but seeing you guys also record the MV and edit the artwork made this one special, keep it up 🔥
"Imma make a fake rapper and when it blows up, it'll prove that luck's got nothing to do with it" *It doesn't blow up* "Well I think that this just proves that luck's got nothing to do with it." Bro, you guys were still you with all of your time and blood sweat and tears poured into your craft and then this flopped. This just proves that you can be incredibly talented and have a deep understanding of the industry and marketing yourself and you can still not make it because the luck wasn't there. It's not ALL luck but the luck HAS to be there.
I think a more realistic conclusion is that getting a viral hit *IS* about luck, but a more realistic path is to put in the hours to not only hone your craft but also build connections and a following.
@@majorbedhead7451 yeah thats true! its about the process and journey and he can make more bangers like this and grow from that. or well I think at least
Kyle, I love how much time you put into making your videos. I know first-hand that sometimes it can take several hours to come up with a good beat. And on top of these beats u make all the time, your also editing and posting a new video once every other week. And not to mention they are like QUALITY RU-vid videos and yeah. Your just a huge inspiration to me in the beat-making industry, I don't know if I want to do it as a career, or just as a hobby, but yeah, either way ur awesome dude. Keep up the good rate.
Dont be scared to ask others for help and opinions, Even the most critical feedback can help you grow and learn to understand. This even can send you in a differend route then you would take before. Producers like Kyle have so much years under their belt and tried so many things to craft their own sound. My tip to those that actualy want to make it ; Dont dream , just do it. You can fail a 1000 times but never give up cause you will always learn more.
I totally agree with the fact that in order to succeed in the music, working hard is a must. But lucky is not just going viral randomly, is also being sorrounded by a lot of things outside the song itself. Where - when you born and raise, the people you are with, etc. Also I think its very importan the " " in prove its not luck, because you are not new at this, you been in music for so long and you know not only how to make music the way you want, but also what it's mor likely to go viral and the friend that helped you.
Thank you for this man.. I'm finally opening my voice to rapping and its not really your style but this really helped me. Been in the industry for 10 years being a producer on my other channel "Y D". Had a few of my beats blow up and Unaverage Gang used my beat for "Hope For A Lost Cause" then i went ghost. Now im back trying to find my voice instead. But this really inspired me not to give up. Just trying to come out of my shell.
Really like the ending to this video, didn't play a hand of god like giving an extension period, just simply acknowledged the hard work it takes to create something and get somewhere with it. I'm currently making youtube videos and trying to balance that with uni life so the message definitely struck something in me
I think you perfectly proved its not luck. Isn't it too easy if you made the right tik tok cause it fits the algorithm or trend and it blows up? You're right. It takes time to sharpen your skills. I wonder everyday why your collab with K. Scott isn't number 1 right now. It's absolutely genius. Stuff don't always go your way. Definitely doesn't come easy. But it don't mean you can't work for it. And loving what you do makes it that much better
What do you view as success is a better question then. Sure, luck is involved, but there are plenty of people who sucked at something and became amazing. People drop out of school and become incredibly wealthy doing their own thing. Or an incredibly poor person becomes an amazing athlete. Big picture is, a lot of mainstream stuff right now is absolute garbage. What KB/KB Collective and friends do, is what they like or love, and keep pursuing it. And wouldn't you know, that authenticity doesn't produce garbage.
the end prove more that this is not luck, this is only sticking to a long term plan and keep grinding, that's not luck, but work and endless dedication
You have earned my respect from this video, man! Sometimes, years of hard work wont even pay off. It takes hard work, luck and connections. If you love what you do.. keep doing it!!!
Absolutely love the ending of this video, and I love how real it is. You are totally right man, blowing up overnight is not realistic and even if it did happen, it's way more rewarding to go through the grind and get to a point that you can say that you have made it. "So many rappers on that stupid superstar shit, but I plan to eat with the people I starved with. I’ve made money, I’ve lost money, I’ve spent money, I've slept outside due to lack of the rent money. I’ve been in love, been happy, been through a lot of pain, 'cause what the fuck is sunshine without a little rain?" - Logic
Kyle: I'm gonna succeed in making a viral tik-tok to prove it's not luck. Here I go. *fails* Kyle: Ok, well... actually failing is what proves it's not luck. Yeah. *Scratches head and stares pensively into the distance to seem deep* Yeah, that's not how an experiment works, buddy. You don't get to state your hypothesis, run your experiment, FAIL, and then say, "Looks like I have succeeded in proving my hypothesis."
there is a such thing as a null hypothesis, but most scientific papers wont publish those in fear of having a failure published. But it is important to publish those failures as it helps the scientific community. same thing here in this non scientific "experiment"
yeah he proved that luck plays the most important role. lucky to get the right connections, lucky to hit the algorithm right. the thing is, with consistency and effort you will get more chances at being lucky. like buying 1 lottery ticket vs 1000. you will have better odds, but it also costs more. the conclusion is, living from art is really hard, but rewarding when it goes well
@@Adam-oq2lqfor sure! I mean, you compare this track to even say something old like NF's "Intro". Not even close! And even that old track isn't like "The Search" or just recently "Hope" that topped charts to make him really blow up. Kinda like in the metal music community; you can write the heaviest song, but unless you can make the people feel something that they can't get from somewhere else, it's just a drop in the ocean of content known as the Internet.
So fucking great! I liked the way you made this video mann! The journey is the fun and true artists do it without any expectations! Its you, your craft, the work and the universe! Im sending all love to each and every artist who has just begun or has made it and to those who dream! Love from India!
thank you, ive been making my own music writing my own songs for about 3 years now, no luck on gaining any traction , and ive been thinking of just stopping all together, but the message at the end of this video makes me want to keep going and keep trying.
@@Nicht-Ha2em i dont have anything on there, one of my biggest problems is my OCD and its hard for me to say a song is perfect, but also i tend to delete them if they dont do well.
Dude I made a long comment saying how I knew it wasn’t luck. Then you reassured my comment with this whole video, thank you so much for doing this. It makes me realize the things I need to do & one of the main ones is just to KEEP GOING. You’re awesome dude, you’ve inspired me countless times. Thank you a million.
The craziest thing is this Kylastic song is unironically my favorite song I've seen you guys make so far lol like genuinely think it would blow up if you and Matt just released it through your normal channels, shit is so hard keep it up
Wow kyle. You have really grown on your channel. I remember when you only had 112k now you have almost 1 milly. ❤❤ Good job and keep it up. I think my favorite videos you ever did was way back in the day when you and russ came together that was dope
Its very true, we just have to grind, being consistent is key. I started out having zero listener, I mean my goal isn’t to blow up or something, i simply just fall in love with the process of making music and speak your soul. Let everything flows naturally Great video as usual Kyle 💯 you’re always an inspiration
Music isn’t something we do. It’s who we are. It’s a lifestyle. The love for the music and hard work will get you somewhere eventually. Maybe not where you planned, but making money, doing what you love doing, after doing it for free for so many years. Can’t ask for a better outcome
Thank you for doing this, I was thinking "if they succeed this thing I quit" not because you made it faster than anyone, it's because I was afraid of not being lucky enough to make it somehow, but thank you, this is a fact that nobody can ignore
YES! The message at the end is everything! So many people go into music expecting an overnight success story and instant gratification when in reality it takes years to build something authentic. Been making music 10+ years, still growing and learning everyday. Build for longevity not temporary 🙌🏻🔥
Honestly its good to see that you cant just brute force your way into relevance that way. The somg is just the same rap stuff everyone else does anyways
You already have money for music video, skills for beats, more knowledge of the industry, and, and , and, this just proves that you can reinvent yourself than "it's not luck"
@@RealShaggythat’s what he’s saying lol. No one ever thought Kyle Beats success was from luck, & he’s implying that from the video. We know all the artists he’s worked with had a lot of potential just from working with him because of his understanding on everything. It’s like having Kobe on your team lol, Kyle Beats has connects to like everything you need to be a successful artist. High quality beats, great marketing, a built up fan base that he created from the ground up over years of hard work, etc. so having all that under your belt itd be pretty easy to break an “anonymous artist” because the person in the background (Kyle Beats) already has prior success in this area. Look at the artists he’s worked with lol, they have like whole ass fan bases now.
@@RealShaggy Money is partially based on luck but that's besides the point. The point is that even if you have knowledge in the industry, rapping talent, good beats, and a great music video you still might not make it. These guys are literally pros and still failed on a song that is better than 99.9% of the songs upcoming rappers will be releasing and still didn't make it. That shows that even if you do everything right, luck is the final factor you have to have. You just have to have the skill to capitalize on it if it comes your way. Although if this kylastic person kept making more songs, they would have a higher chance to get lucky and eventually they could make it.
I’ve come through here a few times. The video hits. The effort in making the video speaks volumes. Very watchable, great journey -yes, no expectations (hmmm) hard not to aim high, the result - very good content from guys who work hard. It’s all about hard work. No one ever gets it for free. Advice: nothing worth doing is easy Great stuff. ❤great content. Life is great, but you gotta earn it
This was so inspirational i am a 37 year old rapper from Chicago been doing this for over 15 years now and probably have as many followers as Kylastic.. I know i make dope music but just havent invested enough in marketing and social media presence. Im self funded and independent and sometimes it just seems like you need a million dollar budget to be seen or relevant.
Most of the people on here who say they make "dope music" get their shot and it's ass. Some people just don't have the voice or just aren't good at it. I haven't heard you but it's an observation
just checked you out, sound good bro. If I could give any advice I'd say show your face more. Start posting those music videos on short form. Keep going you got the talent fr
To get acknowledged by luck and make it big, you need to keep at it for years and not give up. That's how 90% of famous and rich people today have got where they are. If you quit within the first month, year or even 5 years, nothing is gonna happen.
@@benjaminraymundo6711 thats such a bs statement implying that if you fail its 100% on you. Yes I want to believe you but there are many many people who work hard or even harder than those who succeed that do not succeed. By definition of success there needs to be those who fail, despite how hard or how long they've worked.
Not guna lie the track was hard thou 😂😂, plus the visuals. I was sold, even though I watched it get fabricated infront of my eyes. As a rapper who's put 6 years into this I've experienced how this video ended many times. Am currently making the best music I've ever made and set to release soon. But as a plan not to fall on my face, I've dedicated 2 hours every morning to editing reaction videos (finding cult audience) and mixing down my music. In a bid to really smash it this time. Wish me luck lads. There's 1000 roads the the same destination. Lets see how it goes. 😅
I feel like what actually makes you blow up, is that you have a large toolkit at your disposal, and you can use it consistently. If Kylastic kept rapping and made those vids similar, and had the fire bars and beat switches, that would be his toolkit and the consistency would be shown through many.
Just because the challenge didn’t hit, the strategies are sound. Doing this with a backed up catalogue and target songs. Consistent. Bless up artists ❤
I just started TRYING to make music because of my little brother. He inspired me because he is grinding and performing at shows and honestly im so proud of him. Him and Kyle Beats are great motivation for me to try and find my sound and what I can create. I am terrible right now but i see growth everyday and if not anything else, its fun to fuck around. So maybe i'll grow my craft like Kyle said but if not, its definitely a fun hobby to try and learn and be creative with.
I used to always say that luck is where opportunity and skills meet. I don't have any idea who's ever said that or how and why I started personally saying it, but if you think about it it applies 100% to our careers- The only key factor in key in our industry has always been time and effort, and it will always be like that.
can we acknowledge the fact that these clips still did numbers. Like the one with Kia had 17K likes. What I took most from this is if you are strategic about your brand and the stuff you do are intentional and not winged, you will blow up fast. Maybe not from 1 song but maybe like 20/30songs. stay consistent and the grind will pay off 💯.
even though you made it a fake account, i think you should continue with a Kylastic series it shows most talented artists are unappreciated. its not luck its about the grind
Jack Pembrook literally stole your video idea. Almost identical title, almost identical thumbnail. Not sure if you guys know eachother. But definitely seems like its worth looking into...
If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that the game is super competitive even when all the artists are just thinking about themselves getting big. But if every artist is thinking about getting big and there’s so many artists, that’s what makes it competitive. Who’s got the catchiest hook, who’s got the cleanest mix, who’s got what it takes to make an audience turn into a fan base. It’s a huge mental toll until you find you in music. So just embrace the fact it’s a competition but also know it’s not really about it being a competition. That’s why I said it’s lowkey a comp. Do you, have fun, keep learning, and have fun. The rest will come naturally during your journey.
Lmao.. "it's not about luck".. proceeds to to 100% demonstrate that luck is a major factor. Also it would be ridiculous to take the word of someone who *did* make it to prove that they *didn't* get lucky. All they have to go off of is their own personal experience of having made it.. and those around them who probably fed off each other. This is clearly a biased outlook
I remember how much Ludwig's attempt at proving that becoming a youtube creator wasnt "luck" failed miserably. Luck is definately involved in becoming a rapper and being able to live off the money generated by your music, it also takes skill but you cannot get there with no luck.
