Taken on the challenge of installing a 1977 loom into a LH to RH drive MGB, a few challenges ahead but expect it will all be worthwhile in the end.
Dashboard wiring has the challenges, better sorted with the dash out if the car than lying on your back in the footwell.
Windscreen end brackets 3 out of 4 threads stripped, helicoiled to fix forever.
Putting the new main wiring loom into the car body, not as bad as you might think.

I did a LHD to RHD conversion on an ex USA 1974 B chrome bumper roadster. The wiring up of the dash was a slow job. I used the existing loom and modified it. It is possible that the polarity of the fuel gauge wiring may not matter. Put the wires on the gauge, attach a battery and see what happens.

@@davidwitham5588 thanks for that, wasn’t sure about the possibility of damage, all good. My B had a modified loom, and you’ll see in no an earlier video it was a right mess and caused me lots of grief getting my B through the West Australian pits inspection. Hence the reason I’m going for a replacement. All the switches and locations are different, so yes slow is a word that comes to mind.

Just happened to have the dash from my 74 U.S. version sitting in my living room. Facing the back of the dash, the fuel gauge has the darker green with black tracer on the left terminal. On the temp gauge, the darker green wire is also on the left terminal.

Hi Marty, I concur with the comment made by David with regards to which wire goes where on the back of the fuel gauge. (This is confirmed on page 145 in Chapter 14 of Rick Astley's book "MGB Electrical Systems" which i know you have a copy). Glad your eye op went OK. Cheers, Charles

I removed those blocks from the top of the windscreen in order to remove the sun visors. The middle one is, of course, the rear view mirror. I filled the holes with rivets for a nice clean look.

Hi Brad, Now there's an idea, you're right the rivets wouldn't look too bad at all as long as everything is symmetrical. I'm not really a fan of the hood clips and I didn't by a convertible to take it out in the rain, options galore here........... Cheers, thanks for the comment, appreciated.
