If the playoffs are a crapshoot, why have the astros made it to seven straight ALCS’s? Why have they been to four WS’s over that period? Are they just really good at the crapshoot game? If the playoffs are really a crapshoot, then what does it even mean to win a WS? If it’s a crapshoot, then the MLB playoffs are really no different than a rock/paper/scissors tournament or a game of Keno. If it’s a crapshoot, then teams should feel more pride ending the season with the best record than winning the WS. It’s Cashman talking points to excuse for his failures. I’m glad Kay said it’s not a crapshoot.
