Crash Bandicoot 2 - "Diggin It" 100% BOTH Clear Gems and All Boxes (PS4 N Sane Trilogy)

You know it's gonna be one of THOSE levels/gems when the video has over 100k views

Here's one trick I found useful for this stage: Checkpoint management. The bonus room acts like a checkpoint in itself, so if you skip the checkpoint box directly in front of it, you can leave it until you come back from your backtracking and have an extra one to seal the deal on those collected boxes in case you die on the return trip.

This game is just downright unfair at times.

It's easier to get the clear gem for all the boxes if you first go up the right hand path smashing every box until you see the electric fences. That way you don't have to jump back through them in reverse and you only have to head back down the right hand path as far as the checkpoint after doing the Death Route.

The N Sane Trilogy really shows how well Crash 1’s gem completion was designed. Without the no dying requirement,(Outside the colored gems.) you realize most of Crash 1’s gems were just straightforward platforming challenge with very little BS. Crash 2 is rotten with it by comparison. The crap they expect you to just figure out is on par with those fake online Smash Melee unlocks.

Those bees are OP as fuck, so glad i've finished this level jheeze didn't know how far back i had to go.

In Donkey Kong you can’t kill the bees, in Crash Bandicoot you can kill the bee

This death route is actually not that difficult. I managed to complete the death route first time without being hit once and I still had a double Achu-Achu after I finished it. The most difficult bit is avoiding the bees when backtracking straight after it because you don't see them leaving their hives when you travel backwards.

Did you notice the platform above the 2nd row of boxes? How's it done needin a friend

In 1:41 if you jump on iron jumping box then jump on the boxes that above TNT boxes you will reach the bridge iron boxes above that contain extra lives.

There's an easier way to complete the death path.... Just go down the right path until the fork, get the checkpoint just after and backtrack down the left path. At the gap, jump onto the left side and make a few jumps to get over the massive gap using the left wall/bank. Then backtrack until you get the gem and all boxes, make sure to body slam all plants along the way so the run back is quicker and all you have to avoid is the bees. The death platform will take you back, but using the wall/bank trick can give you access even if you've died and the platform doesn't work. Thank me later. Edit: idk if this works on the N.Sane trilogy, though I see no reason it wouldn't. Certainly works on original game, and using this tactic took one turn, as opposed to 20 lives and a fucking bad attitude. Lol

Nice. This showed me how far I needed to backtrack after the death level. But I’m glad I read some of the comments too. Once you get to the bonus level don’t break the checkpoint box yet. Do the bonus level (don’t forget to snag the hidden lives in that level I believe I got 5 from it) and after the bonus level skip the checkpoint box for now and when you get to the death level go right instead until you get to the electric fences where the next checkpoint box is. Don’t get that checkpoint box either and don’t even go through the fences. Just turn around go back to that first checkpoint box you left next to the bonus level and do the death level. After the death level you only need to back track down the right path up until the checkpoint box. Then you finish the level with all the boxes. Also double check you got all the boxes in the bonus level because sometimes the tnt doesn’t destroy all of the boxes.

The best strategy in this level just jump on skull platform then leave it and clear the right path until the end then return to the the platform to take the left platform to get the both gems with any trouble

The bees I can deal with but those damn plants. The game is really picky with how you land on them to kill them.

Very good however you forgot there are 3 bonus lives on a metal box shelf in the bonus round. You're supposed to use those 2 tall stacks of boxes with the tnt near the top of them to jump on to that shelf. But honestly so far, I haven't been able to do it. I can in the original version but must be a programing error in this version.

for the platform with 3 ups in the bonus area, just jump onto the first stack of boxes and wait for crash to land on the tnt box, then slide jump onto the next one and then make a crouch jump off that stack again, easypeasy! one would think that the tnt box explodes if u slide on it but to my great surprise it doesnt(credit and thx to my gf! The bees in N Sane Trilogy are way too OP. They're a lot faster and their buzzing sound isn't clear enough.
