I think the fact that this had to be a Top 5 instead of a Top 10 is a testament to how great the rest of the game is. I had to do the exact same thing lmao
Honestly, the last part in cortex's level, its pretty damn good, i just dont understand the reason why they added crates everywhere, it would be 100% better without them
It’s honestly impossible trying to do time trial on all three levels! Why do you have to get platinum in order to get the 106% ending! Why not gold instead! They’re already tough enough as it is! Lol
Yeah glad someone else feels the same in do on the snaxx dimension. I normally love futuristic settings in games, and I cant get enough of them! This, while the setting was fine, these levels I just found to be frustrating and overall unenjoyable.
My least favorite levels: 5. Rush Hour Unpopular opinion but i don't hate this level, i like most of it but i have to agree that it is too long and that the last part of both Tawna's and Dingodile's sections are pretty annoying. If both sections were separate then The Crate Escape would be number 5. 4. Crash Landed I absolutely love the visuals and music here, it is one of the most creative levels in terms of presentation, however it goes on for way too long and has a difficuly shnurgle riding section at the end, with an annoying glitch that stops the music if you die. But to be fair, shnurgle is more fun than polar. 3. Bears Repeating I really like the first two thirds of this level but Polar ruins it for me 2. Building Bridges Same as Bears Repeating but with a bad Tawna section with annoying wall jumping sections with very strict timing. 1. Shipping Error I like Out For Launch but this level ruins it for me, it has way too many annoying hazards, specially the alien enemies that shoot at you from off screen, and if that wasn't enough there are zero aku-aku crates but there are flat out unnavoidable nitro crates in the grinding sections that may randomly kill you if they hop while you're swinging to dodge them. Dishonorable Mention: The Crate Escape (i like the first half but i hate the Crash part at the end, although it is more fun on N.Verted mode) I actually really like Food Run
Unpopular opinion I like the end of the crate escape and I don’t know why I also enjoyed the polar levels not as much as the originals but I still enjoyed it
Same, I can’t imagine ever referring to it as “boring” and it has the best soundtrack(IMO) in the game and I loved the car sections and the building up in difficulty in them. The end of Crate Escape was what made me switch from retro to modern.
I enjoyed Food Run and Rush Hour, but the other three - I agree with you on, ZEECRAZYGEE. Crash Landed has a unique concept, but it’s animal-riding section leaves much to be desired. I’m currently doing a second play through of the game, so it’ll give me a better layout of the levels. Still a fun and great game nonetheless. Hope we get a Crash 5 and Spyro 4 done the road
Rush Hour felt like a task and a half to the point I had to get the N. Sanely perfect relic on the N. Verted version. You are absolute right, the level is way too long and to do everything perfect until you die at the very end is disheartening. It's right there with building bridges for me hah Ohhhh what a labor of love this platinum trophy is becoming hah
Whoever decided to put that horrendous cars section riht before the end is fucked in the brain. To me the nverted version sucked even more cuz I tried going for the perfect relic in it and died 3 fucking times at the end which means I had to redo the level on 0.6 speed again.. eventually I just got tired and switched to regular mode, died a few times at the end then finally got done with it. The plat relic wasnt as bad but it still sucked alot
I agree with you man! Also one thing that is very frustrating for me, is the difficulty of the bonus levels. Many of them are so f complicated and difficult, even worst than the level itself... One more time. A great looking game with atmosphere but ruined from the unbalanced difficulty... A game should be difficult but always enjoyable.. And I think this is not the case...
Crash 4 is an awesome game, we all know that I just think its... Its just too much, too many creates and its too repetitive if you wanna do 100%. imagine if this is the last crash game and in the next 8 years we dont get anything else since we got a lot in crash 4, i know that wont happen but that could be the case
Hope they add in Spyro’s Free Flight Ability anytime any level without Limitations but with New Upgradeable Qualities In the New Spyro 4 Game and in time Newer Spyro Games coming on the Horizon
I love food run tbh. But hate the nverted snax dimension. You can't see a thing and why does everything have to move so damn slow? Anyways, Bears repeating would be number 1 on my list.
I hated all the timeline levels in general. To be honest. I have nothing against playing as Tawna, Dingodile and Cortex when they had their own levels. But the timeline levels feel completely pointless due to how briefly you play as the other characters before switching back to Crash or Coco. 'Thar She Blows' is a good example.
I'd agree with almost everything on this list, like I'd personally replace Thar He Blows with Rock Blocked mainly because you get a really lengthy Dingodile section that cuts away to Dino Dash very early on in that stage, meaning you go through a much longer portion of that stage afterwards. I'd also personally wouldn't count Food Run on the list but to be honest, I'm not really too interested in the stage in general or even the world for that matter. Although if I had to add 5 more levels to make it a top 10 for me; it would probably include Hit The Road/Truck Stopped for those badly hidden crates(seriously, six crates of all things!?), Potion Commotion for hidden crates as well as replaying through half of Give It A Spin again, Run It Bayou for the steps near the start hiding crates off screen alongside that hidden gem, and last but not least; Toxic Tunnels with a really brutal coloured gem route that not only extends the length of the whole level to make it even longer but also includes two hidden crates off the beaten pathway.
I dislike most of the levels but I DESPISE Cortex Castle. How is anyone supposed to get N Sanely Perfect/ Time Trial Relics when levels are lengthy, some boxes are sadistically hidden and you get little to no time to react to a ton of bullshit that gets thrown at you? This game would have been more enjoyable if the Perfect Relics didn't exist.
This may be a weird pick…but shipping error is my least favourite level…I dunno I just really don’t like it…and also Having to continue half of the level out for launch…which was already i level I didn’t like…also that hidden gem placement is lazy as fuck…
6:35 toys for bob wanted tawnas moveset to be realistic compared to the others, u could see this in her run cycle. I think that this realy drags her gameplay down
Out of the two long levels, I’d rather do Rush Hour, because at least it doesn’t have an annoying animal-riding level like Bears Repeating and Crash Landed. The Crate Escape was a nice level, but that last section with the crates in the sky takes a lot of practice to get used to. It’s fine, but pretty hard when going 100% or N. sanely Perfect Relics
Ngl the crate escape took me like 30 mins to get the perfect relic(natter of fact I completed the final crash section 3 times in a row while practicing and once I had 1 death from the cortex section n finished crash’s section in one go) and the time trail took me abt 40 mins. The worst fucking level imo is rush hour… took me 2 days to get the perfect relic and plat relic
