You amazed me with how you don’t actually need to build up a lot of speed for most of these, you just need to be precise. Sewer speedway is the one that really caught my attention.
@@biyanbayu3361 yeah but you don't need a fast racer to go through the shortcut that way. I've done it many times with N.Gin, an acceleration character. Here's a video of a person doing the shortcut as Coco ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bg8Tzck7veE.html
Dude this is N-sane trilogy for me all over again. Nothing but a pain yet amazingly fun. I wish I didnt get mad easily at games with hard modes in them. I love the challenge but holly shit does this game make my blood boil
Sewer speed way was my first oxide win in ctr, so I'm highly frustrated I can't pull it off the way I used to. I tend to roll back down the wall or slam an inch below that point doing it the old way
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EYNNBdaSmf8.html Here's a visual example if any of you need help with this! I did this myself , I wasn't sure how to do it until I did it.
David Fonseca Timing the jump button off of the ramp is one thing. The angle in which you come in is another factor. And obviously, get as much speed as you can before attempting it.
1.Polar pass you can jump that big lake before turbo pad 2.hot air skyway quite right after landing you can turn 180* and jump the rail between two road (big chunk of shortcut)
In Polar pass you can shave a little extra time by jumping after the second boost pad, the first one with a ramp, and turn right hard. In Hot air sky way you can also cut the corner after a jump with some speed, it is a hard left turn before a boost pad but you can jump the wall, only issue is sometimes you may not clear it and instead of a minor inconvenience you'll end up getting a fall animation and placed on the track.
Something to keep in mind: Make a point of drift boosting off any booster pad that sends you into the air to charge the boost up a bit. It can be tricky to get the timing and set up, but if you can pull it off you will be rewarded with some great speed. This is especially useful in Hyper Spaceway if you can avoid losing control.
I found an unintentional shortcut that never worked in the original for Electron Avenue. At the first laser section, you can jump from the first right ramp to the second right ramp directly, similar to Papu's Pyramid. Cuts off 5 seconds per lap and you can keep your ultimate sacred fire the entire way around.
Back in our days, there were fun unintended shortcuts needing a lot of skill in the game to proceed making the game still worth playing to this day, too.
Damn the Sewer Speedway shortcut looks so much easier than the original CTR, Barin Ruins as well, it was extremely hard in CNK, but I guess because Nitro Fueled has CTR Mechanics, especially the Boost Reserve, it gets considerably easier..
In Polar Pass it is possible to jump across the section where you have two islands with speed pads on over to the other side. With enough speed, use the first speed pad and get a nice high jump which gives you a big boost when landing on the first island with the speed pad. Use that pad and aim for the far right corner of it and make a big jump right and if done well, you'll jump the gap to the part leading up to the bridge
Never mind the shortcut just use the ramps like your tony hawk n ride the high wall till the rolling barrell kids with the shortcut can’t even beat you if you jump high enuff
Electron Avenue - Tricky, but at the first laser-wall, take the right-side ramp at a sharp angle to skip the corner and, if you turn sharp enough, land on the track facing the second laser-wall
Hey PS4Trophies, awesome video. But you are missing another shortcut in N. Gin Labs, where at the last big jump down (with the boost panel in the middle, that goes further than the edge), you can jump down to the far right and hit another boost panel which is from a different section of the track. This shortcut was available in the old ctr as well. I tried it yesterday in nitro fueled and it works like a charm :)
U didnt mention dingo canyon? And I think there is a shorcut in oxides, that u need to jump to another path. Also in the original there are one shortcut in tiny arena, but I think that was a bug. Then in the slide stadium jump over the stacked tires
the coco park shortcut is op. you could use that for grinding parts on cars. electro level gives 80 gold but it takes way too long to finish. coco park gives 40 but you can beat it way quicker and double it.
@@ThatGuy-en2nn maybe someday. last night i just figured out that if someone is directly in from of you almost touching your kart you can hit them with those green bottles. i also figured out that you only use the mask when missiles are coming at you because if you then you will wish you saved the mask after you got hit.
hot air skyway has one huge shortcut, it cuts half distance...Need to jump the long gate, then move back and fall down into the hall. Then you will teleport to that area. This area is the another half map. Well try to find on videos you will like it ))
Iam so happy to see traditions being kept alive from my favorite ninety's game the shortcuts stayed and IAM estatic that they weren't covered up by the creators thanks I am so excited and can't wait to try the new game for myself
@@HORNETSTV1881 you can make it over the fence by the finish line with enough speed. Its the old shortcut fence by the super turbo pad at 5:54 you can't make anymore
Not sure if these still work but there are a few missing from the original: Papus pyramid. Jumping onto the wall from on top of the pyramid and jumping onto the finish line. Polar pass. At the first turbo pad with the wall on the right hand side. Reverse into it sending you backward. Jump onto the wall and bounce across the lake onto the other side. Oxide station. 2-3 missing from here. Slide collosium and turbo track missing. Hot air skyway. Jumping across the mini wall that separates 2 parts of the track.
missed one big shortcut in polar pass in the lake area, drive-through danger has several shortcuts, airway map has several shortening jumps over cornerd and the thight u-turn etc.
8:37 I always read that as Deep Sea Diving 🤦🏻♂️ Just shows I never played CNK. On the other hand I’m glad I knew all the CTR ones by heart since 20 years ago 👌
It still works: twitter.com/thetornrose/status/1142362951078305792?s=21 Please note, this is not my video. I just want to spread the info since many aren’t aware.
bryan in meteor gorge there's another one, by the beggining of the race there is a shortcut way up by the left side after the jump. just here to help thank for everything you've done
PS4Trophies you forgot the shortcut at 3:19 in polar pass once you reach that 2nd turbo boost jump pad you can press R1/or L1 and jump off the corner(and only corner) of the ramp and cut the 3 islands if you didn't take it.
In sewer speedway at the beginning with the 2 tunnels if you go into the right tunnel at the jump with the boost pads in the tunnel if you jump right there’s a short cut
Was the one in Papu's Pyramid 3:00 possible in the original game? I've been playing CTR for 20 years, thought I knew everything, but I've never done this. It will blow my mind if it was possible.
There's one in Mystery Caves (before the lava section at some point), one in Polar Pass (before tunnel) and Hot Air (the very end of the track, last tight corner, can't remember if it was possible actually) you missed. And also something I noticed is that in the Sewer Speedway, the last section with a rolling barrel, I used to jump from one corner to the other, starting the jump right at the highest point of each corner, but now it doesn't work... :(
Could you make a video of all the ultimate sacred fire turbo pads? I know the ones at Cortex Castle, Highwat.. Pinstripe boss map thing, Polar Pass and N Gin lab. But apparently there are more.
Stupid question, but how did you get the stars next to the race track list. I used to have them with the ps1 game, but can't remember how to get them. Do you need to finish the track on hard?
Do you have to take the fastest characters to do all this shortcut ? The ones you mentionned the speed, I don't think I can make it with my little Polar Bear.. :P
