Minimum of 3 hours direct sunlight per day. If kept indoors, it needs very little water (allow the soil to dry out thoroughly between waterings. Avoid letting water sit for too long in the soil to prevent rot and fungal diseases. Feed with a controlled-release fertilizer at the beginning of the growing season. Thanks for the video! I just bought one today. Same size $13.00 at a grocery store florist.
This is a long shot but can anyone help me and my propeller Plant? It is otherwise beautiful and healthy and not a water issue.. but I've noticed 2 leaves have a puckering look to them where they attach the the main stem. Just a line of what looks like it is trying to cut itself off from the stem, about 1 cm into the leaf. I've seen some people say they get wrinkles but it doesn't look like that to me.
What did you say was happening to the plant where it had turned a lighter colour and has gone reaching for light? I've got my plant doing this but I'm new to the succulent game. Thanks!
It’s called etiolation. It’s when they want more light and they stretch and reach for more sun. They send out rapid, lighter colored, weaker growth in hopes of reaching more light and saving the plant. The stretched out tissue won’t ever go back, but more light usually prevents more stretching from occurring. The stretching doesn’t hurt the plants, but the lack of light can, and the quick growing weaker stem tissue is more prone to rot, breaking, etc. So we try to keep an eye out to make sure they are all getting enough light, so that they stay healthy, but it happens to a few every year that get a bit light deprived! 😉. So it’s not a huge deal, but gradually adjusting to more sunshine or a grow lamp is the best remedy! Hope that answered your question?
Thank you very much! I'll have to get a lamp I think(I live in Toronto and its still grey and snowy!). I'm looking forward to learn more from your channel!
I think I killed mine I’m not sure if this is over water or under water please help I think it needs repotting but I’vee been so busy that I left it for last Thanks
@Patricia Martija Probably overwatering. You should water them once every 2 weeks but I suggest just watering it whenever you feel the soil is like bone dry. And whenever you want to repot them you just gotta check the roots to see if they have enough space or if it’s too crammed/ bunched up.
