Interesting timing. I just mounted my first 1.9 Hustlers (unused until now) on my new C1 crawler I've been developing and the car struggled more than I thought it should. Swapped tires out and yep, car was great. Tried these tires on an Ecto and the lines it could usually walk were reeeeaaaally challenging now! So now I've got my initial unbiased lack of knowledge of these tires out of the way, I clicked on this video of yours here. It's one of the most enlightening and entertaining (and really, validating, after the other day) videos I've watched in quite a while. You do a truly great presentation with your monologue, my hat is off to you, sir - in all sincerity. Thanks for sharing your opinions here. I'm going to have to chat with the guys at Boom Racing and ask them about these tires, they really were worse than I expected by a considerable margin. (and the skid sound test was interesting, too, though I haven't the chemistry background to know why). Keep up the great work!

It would be interesting to turn the new tires right-side out to determine whether they go from 90s to 60s (i.e. it's the tread pattern makes the tire abysmal). Perhaps they've updated the compound since your first ill-fated purchase.

I once bought a tent screen repair kit. When I opened up the package it was just a transparent sticker with grid lines on it. It would not stick to the tent screen and I threw it out within 7 minutes of trying. Products so bad it's basically robbery.

i am back from a family reunion. i went with my parents and siblings on a road trip from very southeast AZ to central Oregon and my dads whole family was there. my grandparents came from Idaho. my dads three siblings and family's came from Papua New Guinea,Thailand, and Guatemala for the reunion. we had a blast, canoeing,hiking,biking,swimming, and i brought my three mini crawlers and my boy cousins had never driven crawlers before and they loved it. I kept having to tell them to drive slow and smooth but their trigger finger was an on/off switch. my scx24 and ax24 kept overheating,but against all odds my ascent18 somehow survived

i bought a set of 2.2 boom racing clones that i tried every way i could to make better. wd40, simple green, pb blaster, i cut some of the lugs. still, not worth the $20 i paid for them.

Would these make the ultimate torture tire on the skewers? Even good tires can't get traction on the Hustlers 😬

I can't agree with you more, these tyres are "shit " I bought them based on the advertisement, they do look good but don't grip on rocks ,( blue stone or sandstone) sand ,all they do is dig holes, mud (dig holes)concrete, just slips. Can we get a class action going to get our money back?
