how much stainless hardware do you have? when I can ever get to the post office to send you the ftx canyon, and the other stuff we talked about, I can throw in a assortment of stainless stuff, if you need.
I'm trying to figure out what's left of the original Stance (more math!), and it doesn't seem like the initial $500 gets the discerning consumer much for their investment. I think this just hammers home the point that the VRD Carbon is the far better canvas for creating what you want.
Oh, never buy a Stance-- and by extension, the VRD straight kit and the VS4-10 Builder's Kit. They all offer catastrophically bad value. If you want a VRD Carbon, you'd better buy it soon, as I'm 99.9% sure it's going to get "detuned" to the same level as the awful straight kit pretty quickly.
My Gmade Gs02 Cantaliver rig has no geared overdrive possibilities, so I run it with 4.75" front tires and 4.19" rears to get about 12% overdrive...really like it. ru-vid.com/group/PLTFKgOxM0i_YTzafsk4YZnvkFeomc_w-D&si=mqtGPN2Ji10QnIeA
I honestly personally was thinking they would shoot for $279-289, which is still about $50 too much. The VS4-10 Builder's Kit at $300 is <insane>. There is absolutely no value there.
@@CrawlerCanyon looking around for a phoenix kit and everyone is out of stock. Is vanquish giving us a huge price hike by giving us half the stuff at 3/4 of the price? hmm I wonder😂
@@RiceCrisp320 Absolutely. The Phoenix portal kit at $399 is an unbelievable bargain compared to the "builder's kit." A VFD Twin is $50 more than a VFD. The Phoenix body set is $150. The Phoenix kit comes with wheels and tires, another $70 or so. I never thought I'd see the day, but AFAIC, the Builder's Kit is a worse deal than even the Stance.
The Owen Wilson comment just made me think you need to name this rig '0 and' in regards to the fact that it keeps loosing. Losing parts I mean. Not much pro left in the build😂
i got an extremely light rig... no body, just carbon fiber chassis. a stubby motor and tiny esc and rx. shorty pack battery. even the links are aluminum and extremely light. i believe the gears are plastic, with plastic housing and driveshafts. the weight is all in the axles. it just floats on top of everything which is both good and bad. completely different drive. make it a featherweight to have a very different 10th there.
Red flag on his green paint doesn't work well. Because he slithers along the rocks like a snake and you already have a Jake. Why not call him "Seth" the slithering snake.. goes great with his body as well. Like a green garden snake. Just saying. Seth fits the build.
Get rid of that trail motor and put on a proper lightweight outrunner on this thing. I'd like to see a "legal" vs "non-legal" tire showdown. LoL, i was typing "or maybe it's Maybelene" when you said it. "this is not a competition"...said while using competition illegal tires that outperform the competition legal tires, lol.
It's seems to me like pins are always going to win when you put them up against anything else. I hate the look of pins but if you're going for a hyper capable flyweight rig then you should use the most capable tires. 🤓
Nice work Mr C getting that jurassic gear box out and putting a normal sized one in there. Great info on the tires cause I was considering getting the S5 xhx pins but now I'm just gonna order another set of S4 pins. Love my S4 injora pins, hands down best quality tire you can buy for such a cheap price.
Great test. Probably will like a even softer front, little more static bag. Hyrax looked really good just a lil softer for the rig or the lug spacing not getting good bite at the top of that climb. Comp pin is showing a tiny softer on the worn silicones and lug spacing is helping vs. the xhx. Does look much better with the shock/tcase change holding the front down alot more. To be honest that width looks great !
So far as I can tell, the Pro skid is it's own thing. Then again, as soon as I saw the top was flat, there's no real reason to change it and mess with every link length.
High over drive on helps with extreme incline to avoid flipping backwards and turning. Asidde from that it hurt everything. They should have put selectable overdrive in the Carbon.
