she needs softer springs to articulate properly. i would love to see more videos of this truck with you having done some improvements to the suspension to dial it in.
I'd look for a John Entwistle figure and call it Boris. Nice choice on the paint. The wide stance even makes it look spider-like as it scuttles across the rocks. Surprisingly capable!
That body looks awesome man! You did a superb job on color choices sir! I had one of those reefs 422 die on me after just 1 month, tire shot all way to right and just froze. I won't be getting any more reefs any time soon.
i still LOVE the 2 speeds! it gives a mechanical advantage from the motor to the wheels, regardless of foc motor or not, it helps tremendously! i have the 1800kv in my chassis and low gear doesnt seem like it would have as much punch as i would like, but it can always be gears up a bit over the stock 13t pinion. also, i have to say, i LOVE how thick and durable the body feels on this truck!
I'm not a jeep guy here in Colorado you can't fling a cat without hitting one but that one looks really good great job with the paint! Aragog was the spider in Harry Potter, wider is better my rig is 11.5" wide love it. Thanks for sharing
I'm not normally a jeep fan, but the exposed cage and long wheel base on this has really caught my eye. Got a buddy looking to build his first kit, might help him put one of these together...
i need to watch your build series on this truck. i didnt want to watch it before i experienced building my own first, but now i can, as i only have the body left to complete.
There was less than 1 month between the release of the Axial, and the announcement of the Spider (with pics of body). That doesn't really seem like a copy. Not saying it couldn't happen, but even in Europe conspiracy theorys are still just that....
i dont have mine done yet (still need to finish the body and paint it), but i thought the stock springs are way stiff. i have a set of injora springs for the scx that swap right onto the stock shocks. the black ones are a good bit softer than the stock springs. also, i was not a fan of how floppy the 2 speed servo mount was, so i reinforced it to the side board with some double sided tape. makes the servo much more precise. i also got some nice wheels so i didnt have to glue those awesome looking tires. i think its going to be a beast when its done.
I'm using a 7" Keanu from Cyberpunk 'cause he has the metal horns up! I gotta deal years ago for $15 so it was perfect (i'm a metal head). I ended up adding heavy wheels all around, 3d inserts, and it became a different animal. Same motor, 7" driver, 4200 3s pack...60/40/50/50 weight dist! Imma replace my 2nd speed servo for a servo winch. I put a vanquish horn on it and it was gtg. Great vid! If you'd ever put some community pics up.....
I LOVE that body, you nailed the color, but for me it looks too small for the rig. Idk, a little bit weird for me I feel like it needs more weight, but that would be bad for the foams The performance is really good anyway
TJ body rather then CJ body. interesting color, not what i was thinking when you said the name of the color. Easy to drop it like 10mm static ride height ? lower shock rod looks tall tall or different cup. maybe one rate softer rear, i would do one rate softer spring front, tiny too soft insert for rear , 10.5 ish wide

I find the CJ to be a CJ boy I missed out on that one. But gmade is JK all the way in a full rock build with the comp Cut rear tub no CJ there’s just size and it’s sad the actual axial CJ did not come with the standard rubber round fender flairs like you would fine on a stock CJ. I don’t like the sharp fender look in the front the angle I’ve never liked the OG wrangler everything SQUARE. Reverse your springs mo weight up front. Also IMO needs bigger OD tires looks roller-skate-ish. 😂 forgive me but the width looks awful to the tire size 🤦♂️. I’m not making fun Like a proline Trepadoar would be nice size idc about the tire just example To size.
