Craxy killing it with this comeback! Deep meaningful lyrics where they are aware they are a smaller and less popular group. They are aware how people are calling them nugus but that’s is not going to stop them, they are not giving up, and that this is like a race where they aren’t at the top but eventually they will be. Watched the premier of this one. Was sad to see only 400+ people, but better something than nothing, eh? Craxy and Pixy and few others are, unfortunately as you stated, Nugu. Competing with the groups who not necessary are better but are from bigger companies and are pushed by Media and various Shows is definitely difficult. So glad that both had a comeback, though for Craxy I was a bit weary about them going completely dark. They deserve to be well known and people experience how good these groups are. I am seriously so proud of how far they've come and how much their music has improved. Especially since I was basically there from the beginning and boy, their first album really was not good. But this new album is amazing! You should consider an album reaction if you can fit it into your schedule. Some really unique and amazing songs and that EDM remix of Undercover fucking blew my socks off. As a huge basshead I can say that this is probably the best EDM mix of a Kpop song I've ever heard. And speaking of underrated groups with amazing concepts that deserve more attention: have you heard of Kingdom? I don't mean the show but a boygroup called Kingdom. Every one of their members is named after a real historical king. And so far, every comeback has been centered around of of their members/kings. So far we had: 1. Excalibur (Arthur, Britain) 2. Karma (Chiwoo, China) 3. Black Crown (Ivan, Russia) 4. Ascension (Dann, Korea) 5. Long Live The King (Louis, France) 6. Dystopia (Mujin, Japan) Dystopia just came out today! And like Craxy, they're a group that just keeps improving with every comeback. Their music videos are so beautiful and detailed and I'm 100% sure they'd be right up your alley! Give them a shot if you have the time!
First, thank you for the honest reaction bro 👍 Second, CRAXY really givin' us a very sensitive topic about what happen in the KPop industry nowadays 😁 Actually after Gen 2 of KPop transitioned to gen 3 & 4, this term is beginning to emerged often & usually happen to groups outside the big 4 agencies (SM, YG, JYP, HYBE), sadly this term "Nugu" has the tendency to used by some toxic fandom from these big agencies to downsized other groups from smaller agencies 😅 and FYI the terms then developed to categorized these small agencies' groups fandom to be called Nugudom & this is what the song try to exposed. It supposed to be the quality of the songs that matters like in the good old days of KPop (Gen 1 & 2) and not about the size of their agency or fandom, but that what actually happened rn in KPop 😊 So for CRAXY, congrats for the comeback & keep up the fight! 💪😉
I'm not familiar with Craxy but the name of the song made me very curious in checking them out. It's a little bold of a topic to take on since you never hear idols talk about nugudom. It's not really a term the industry itself uses. I'd say it's almost a strictly fan discussed subject and Nugu can be such a complicated term too. Even though it's not a title any group would want to fall under it's not necessarily supposed to have a malicious undertone and yet it often does as a way for fans to somehow grab onto this delusional idea that their favs being more successful over other groups is also their success and so they often use it in an elitist way. I'm impressed in Craxy addressing the subject and it also shows how aware idols are of the way fans talk about them online. I know some have tried to reclaim the word (like the nugu promoter account) and I like how this group is showing that they're not afraid of people labeling them as a group in nugudom bc the word doesn't doom them or their future.
also their CEO is pretty active in twitter and he keeps track about the comments, also does some Q&A sometimes, so he takes ideas from fans, so that's why they made "nugudom" they really know how is used in the web. A good example of the CEO taking notes, they add the "Cypher" song to the digital album, that wasn't going to be a track but fans asked, sadly they couldn't added to the physical album, but still a win
