Yuta is Japanese and has always loved Japanese rock music. This is Japanese rock music. This is Yuta's personal activity and the world Yuta wanted.

The only thing SM did right for NCT is letting the members do their own thing for their solo's that's why the members are thriving. Yuta definitely went all out and we're all here for it!

I'm actually surprised that many Nct fans don't know that this is EXACTLY HIS style! from the artistry, cinematography, and darkness/going crazy feeling to heavy J-rock, the fashion/styling ect. is all exactly what he always truly was/is and just couldn't show because of the idol image! this is his true color and self expression that he always wanted to do. he also wrote this song (actually 6/7 songs of the album) himself so no wonder it shows his true self!

Yuta is Japanese and passed SM Entertainment's audition when he was 15〜16years old and moved to Korea alone. And He has been an KPOP idol since then as a member of NCT127, but he actually loves J-ROCK, J-METAL, Japanese Visual bands. Interesting background, isn't it?

Yuta wrote, composed and arranged off the mask plus 5 other bsides from the album, incredibly talented

This suits him 100% perfectly. Like nothing feels out of place to me.

I had the biggest smile on my face watching the mv too, was not expecting this from Yuta and such an amazing badass sound! I'm looking forward to hearing him do it live to hear the vocals.

This is my favorite solo of all the NCT members so far because he went all in.

yuta has always gravitated towards rock and has openly talked about wanting to pursue the genre for his own music. whenever he shares songs on his radio show (yuta at home) theres always classic jrock artists being recommended. his covers have also all been rock/jrock songs for the past few years. he's friends with his idol, hyde, from l'arc en ciel too. his fans always joke about him being like not any other idol out there from his music taste to his aesthetic. and im so glad he's finally able to unapologetically share this side of him to everyone. yuta is truly a unique artist.

i am sooo genuinely happy for yuta!! he’s my ult bias and even if i don’t even up loving his solo music im just so happy he’s getting the chance to put out something he loves and doing something he’s always wanted to do. i hope people get to see how talented he actually is.

Yuta has always talked about how much he loves rock and how much he wants to pursue that genre! Some of his idols/favorite artists are jrock legends like Hyde and Miyavi! (He's actually friends with them!) So this is 200% Yuta!! He has always been a rockstar at heart and I couldn't be more proud of him for being able to do what he wants to showcase the true Yuta!!!

Rock and Metal are definitely Yuta's favorite genres of music and he's always wanted to pursue it musically if given the chance. He's also been travelling to Japan to get screaming/growling lessons and a lot of his big role models and inspirations are japanese rock artists like Hyde, Miyavi, and so on. This is soooo Yuta! The person that we've been able to see in concert in the last few years was only the beginning but his love of JRock has always been front and centre. He has been letting loose more and more in concert and we love to see it, more and more confident in the style he wants to pursue. When he does the Hello live stage (with Taeyong, Johnny, and Mark in concert) you can see that rock star swagger just dripping off Yuta the whole time.
