What is the running gag here? Did he really do that? I want to see it because the video of him falling down is so funny. And not because I’m a jerk, but because I’ve done the same thing lol!
Because he’s so down to Earth. He doesn’t edit out his mistakes, he doesn’t try to sound like he knows everything, and he’s truly having fun and fishing the way fishing is meant to be. Atleast that’s why I love it lol!
Never could find out the origin of calling the herons Fred. I was a charter captain out of Destin Florida for over 20 years and and a deckhand for 10 and its always been Fred. Some used to say( back in the 70s), that the name stemmed from Fred Jones, who was one of the old time fishermen in Destin.
Awesome video, love that early morning bite.😎 Don't forget to stretch your calves out before you do all that running to the rods... Can't have you hurt before the keys trip🤦😅👍
The best ocean fishing I've ever had was in Tampa Bay off of Westshore Blvd; in a trailer court and the back of it that touch the water. I caught three huge sea trouts within 15 minutes. The best fight any fisherman could ask for. I gave them away to the first couple that I met. Later on I was told I could have gotten big bucks for them at any of the fancy restaurant along the shore. This was back in 1976!
Great video... always advocating conservation and just plain common sense, which, unfortunately, ain't too common anymore... well done! I'm an Alafia River Rat, born and raised on Tampa Bay... 64 years...
Brant, Great video. I love how simplified you make the presentation and the bait selection. How many of us waste the day by over thinking our presentation, bait selection and location. Great job!
BRO you SO gotta stop in the Palm Beaches and do a segment on your way down to the Keys we've got ALL THAT AND MORE when it comes to fishing COME ON DOWN!!
Great video & presentation! I'm currently trying to get back into fishing after almost a decade with far & in-between fishing trips (career & health). This video has increased my "fishing fever" ! Hopefully my luck will be half as good as yours! Lol
Brant.I know this video is a year old, but I hope you guys are ok after the storm....I know what havoc those stems wreak on the beaches..God Bless you guys.
Fred is your good luck charm. And now he's laughing at you. Making your dinner before you get the fish in the cooler. I understand the McFish is being sold in McDonald's. Lol
I mean I seen some BS before but he let that fish go and tried to make it look like he didn't for the camera LMFAO 😂 . Hey I ain't hatin bro do what ya gotta do make that 💲💲💲🤑💪👈
Shoot I leave tmw for the keys lmk if ur still down there idk I could talk to my parents and see if u could come fish offshore with us one day we got a 30ft seahunt gamefish
Nice job with the reds! That keeper didn't want to be kept. Have a fun and safe trip to the Keys. Will be waiting on your videos in S. Fla. Thanks for sharing
Come on, man! I'm struggling to hook my first redfish and you're over here dropping keepers! Great video as always, looking forward to seeing the next few!
Ill be beach fishing for the 1st time in my life in a few short days! Im stoked.Itll be Gulf Shores area. Any tips? I know my set up will likely be a tad light. My only real concern is the short rods. 8'2 is my longest rod. I wanna catch anything. pompano to sharks. No preference at all right now, What would be your go to set up to just catch anything at all.
Man!..I'm a fisherwoman, but I really need to learn the rules of the water, because I would have most definitely kept those 3 large fish and called it a day..
Holy crap man you caught 3 big mullet in a bait net at your feet almost. That’s worth bragging about up here where I live in Florida where we eat mullet. But then you threw out the head on a hook and got a Bull Red from the bank. That’s impressive.
Scissors and trim a tail lol. I’ve seen it done but I’ve never done it myself. I told the fellow on the state park pier he was gonna get his ass dusted if they caught him trimming tails to keep fish. He already had his one over slot in a cooler.
Would be cool to see you stop somewhere from Sarasota/Bradenton down to Englewood/Boca area. Some cobia and kings are around Venice jetties, someone caught a 40"+ barracuda two weeks ago aswell. Always giant snook around. Tarpon all through the area, especially down near Englewood and Boca beaches. I know Englewood may not be the most known, but theres some solid captains around too and Im sure youd have a great time offshore! You got plans to go out with StanzFam like Brad did? Either way thisll be a cool trip! Making mine early next year in our 'winter'!
