Yea I thought it would be pretty average on a normal day. It was so swelly and dirty there though. I went back the next day and was catching good fish every cast. I did walk back out around the rocks at low tide. Will definitely try again in a big storm 🤙🏽

@@OceanNationCo yeah Kua , opito and Otama were bloody pumping when that storm hit ... we went out to the Mercs right after the high pressure change and got some good fish

@@benjolly2967 yea there was some good fish around after that weathers. I pulled in some goodies off the bricks at matapaua around then.

If the hook isn’t in a critical spot they have a good chance of survival. They rust out pretty quickly.

@@OceanNationCo I live in south auckland. So I've been out to the west coast. Beaches like karioitahi. Kinda just wanna find one rock spot that I'll be happy with and just go there all the time. I'm heading out kawakawa ways Sunday morning to search for a spot. If no luck then I'll just resort to the waitawa bay wharf 🤙🏽
