Great match, such a close outcome! Not going to lie, in the early game when your opponent's keshiks outnumbered your horsmen I thought it was game over, however this match shows the power of a growing manguidai mass and attrition through hit-and-run attacks
Indeed close! Numbers are not always everything, but with hit and run tactics, you need to use every moment you have and micromanage your attacks effectively without losing units (like I did). Also, mobility plays a role in these types of scenarios. Him having spearmen made his army move much slower than mine, making his entire unit an infantry unit, because he had to mix his keshik with spearmen in order to protect them from my charge attacks. Yep! Was thinking the same after playing vs Rus.. But it's always situational, if he goes 2 TC or all in feudal. I have some ideas for the next videos though :)
@@MangudaiKharyshkyr I use different strategy depending on map or my location from my teammate, either 2 TC, double villagers using stones, or upgrades using stones, or go for deers using x7 scouts (double speed of food) require the professional scout, or tower rush delaying the ovoo directly to oppount, i only play team games, not single. I only produce double troops after IV, not before, I think it's better to use stones on the other things, but thats just me.
@@jamesdenmark1396 These are all good strategies for mongols that I'm planning to cover in detail ( 2 TCs for example is high on the list, double vills with oovoo and your TC is up at 6.30) except for the professional scout. Does it work for you? I figured that going on deer with vills and keeping my adversary busy in early feudal works for me. I'd like to cover all upgrades at some point too. But double production in age IV is something I have to disagree with. I think the power of the mongols is the fast unit production which I use in Feudal to slow my opponent. In age IV - get the Improved Biology, improved Fire Arrows and improved Mangudai Damage, if you use them. in other words- put blacksmith on the stone, which you need around 3k stone for. In age IV you should have enough stables and ranges to quickly produce units, and the eco to sustain it too.
