I've seen the full video on this one, he was on radar doing 104 coming towards the officer and slammed on his brakes to match the speed on the truck next to him. Without that first 1 min it doesn't make any sense.
Right? IF the corvette was a ZR1 I would give that a pass, but a Camaro, Dodge Challenger SRTs and a mustang GT? Not anywhere near a supercar. I had this same discussion with someone over the differences between super cars and hyper cars.
The cops are supposed to tell him to turn the vehicle off and hand the keys over. If it's push to start and the cop has the keys...the vehicle will be immobilized. If the car was running when he stole it and the owner had the keys, then he can't turn it off..he wouldn't be able to start it again..thats a passive immobilization theft system. Would have saved the guys life.
The Camaro had such a huge advantage. First of all it being pitch black, second his car was blacked out, third they had so much distance but instead of being smart and hiding somewhere in the complete dark and turning off the car, they instead slow down and allow the officer to catch up. What an idiot.
he also almost had him when the cop pulled that maneuver and hit him and the camaro was behind him but instead of going the opposite way of the cop he turned around and went in the direction his car was facing
Darren ,who stole the Audi, sounds like an intellectual.: " i've lost all me gear / me mate gone done...aye" He's a pirate. Maybe he can finish school while in prison.
That cop chasing the Vette made the most halfhearted chase attempt I think I’ve ever seen. I know the Vette was faster and an appreciate his using caution but he clearly wasn’t in it to win it. It’s no surprise they got away.
I mean, sometimes cops back off because they dont want to escalate the chase. You know, running away from cops, being more and more stressful and reckless... thats just an accident waiting to happen - so cops sometimes back off to not agitate the criminal any more.
Yes and a black out charger I live in Southern Arkansas, and my neighbor was a state trooper he gave me insight on how they’re trained. They have a special training track and hope Arkansas for the G troop, which is lower Arkansas been six months TT chasing each other around. This is a big track. It’s like 200 acres when I ride with him, we go places I feel 100% confident, this guy can drive
There is no way that Audi was damaged beyond repair. Just sell it to Matt Armstrong for half of what its actually worth and that car will be back on the road in no time at all. Its obvious (and somewhat understandable) that they would over estimate the damage done to this supercar. Im sure it can be fixed for a quarter of what they estimated.

Labour costs are brutal not to mention genuine NEW Audi parts. The amount of damage done to this car from the utterly ruined suspension all round to thrashed engine to cooked brakes to wrecked transmission to ruined under body protection and substantial body damage, all four wheels and tyres and countless other little things including thoroughly valeting it to clear the sweaty little gimp's stink out of it WOULD cost a fortune.
I don't mean to offend, but not only is this R8 not damaged beyond repair (how could they even say that lol), but a skillfull mechanic will get this done in under 20K, probably way under. It's not anywhere near as expensive as it's being portrayed.
If he messed up suspension and drivetrain things will get costly but as you say it can be fixed. I just hope for the owner this is considered beyond repair so he can get money. Would you want that car back after that horrible abuse?
Guarantee none of you are Australian. Firstly, labour is 2-3 times more because our trades blokes get paid decent bucks. 2nd, an Audi r8 in oz attracts a "luxury import tax" adding at least 1/3 more (not sure of the year, but decent guesstimate is 150-250k. Next, parts to Oz on the otherside of the world are 3x as much, and I had an old 1990 A90 18yrs ago and was charged over 2k for a new front rotor, lower ball joint, pads and service. Spark plugs were 4 point and $125 ea back then. So yeah expensive POS here. ;)
its arkansas because they have the loosest chase laws in the US, in most states if a chase poses any danger to the public they end it and send helicopters. in arkansas, its all about how fast your car can go!
This is why all valuable cars should have GPS trackers and immobilisers installed, that’s what stopped my muscle car from getting stolen back in 2018. Even though the thieves had both the main keys and the isolator key, they didn’t know where to put it, without it there’s no electrical power and the car is dead. Even bump starting it won’t work in that condition, as both the battery and alternator are isolated by that key.
@@lucasceleste4743 idk who it was, but of you look up black corvette running from cops, you'll see a lot of vids. I wanna say he's in Arkansas if I'm not mistaking
There's another blacked out vette you've probably seen videos of that make it look like it's this one. But it's another one that toys with Arkansas police. This dude stole this vette and did several chases, but the other vette still hasn't been caught.
24:25 OMG... perp does a 180 to head in the direction the cop was facing??? What a maroon. If he'd just went forward, the officer would have probably needed to do a 3 point turn to go back after 'em. But if he were smart, he wouldn't be running.
Yeah, only car I know that can out run the police is a Bugatti Chiron but Porsche 911 Turbo S goes the same speed (about 200 MPH) as a Dodge Charger which is used in WA making it a challenge to catch.
They're designed to break apart like that at higher speeds to shed impact energy away from the passenger compartment. Too high a speed though nothing helps.
I knew the first one in Australia with the Audi R8 from before because I watched another youtuber who reacted to it, so it was cool to see your thoughts on the same thing
There's another blacked out vette with a license plate cover that reads stay quiet that lives to run from Arkansas police. He's got the equipment to evade them at night, pretty crazy videos of that dude. Ain't no way cops are gonna catch that dude till they bring choppers in randomly one night and hopefully cross paths. It's not the vette in this video btw
He told the Camaro guy he would kill him. Almost slipped up and called him the n-word after he caught him. "Why did you run?! What did you do that for?? Freakin nnn .. why?" This aren't the exact words but Along the lines of it, you can tell that's what he was going to say. And then you can't find his name or what happened to him? And it's arkansas?? Officer price probably put him in a ditch somewhere
@@MtHermit Problem is when you think you found a cool new channel you are interested in and only later in the video you realise its shit. Not talking about this channel exactly, but this is how youtube works, many people are focused on the same niche and some are better than others, AND you cant always tell at first. Dont be mean just because he said his peace, he has the right to do that.
You have to remember that some other countries have stricter rules that RU-vids rules. So to keep from being filtered in their country, they blur according to their country's rules. Take Twitter as an example. Here in the USA, you can post nearly anything you want. however, in the UK, and now Canada it seems, they are restricting free speech to the point that people are afraid to post their ideas or common sense because they might be arrested. Just because you can enjoy free speech here in the USA, doesn't mean that all the other countries posting on RU-vid enjoy the same freedoms.
i got through 2 minutes of the video. had to shut it off because if the useless commentator pointing out the obvious. just let us watch the video and stop with all the chit chat
There is no way in hell that R8 was a write off, that's Bullshit. Here in Australia that car is worth in between $250,000 and $450,000. There's no way in hell Darren did that much damage to write off such an expensive car. No insurance company is going to write off that Audi R8, when it's cheaper for them to fix it.
Wow mate thanks for the info. I’ll live in the states USA. I’ve never seen one. I’m pretty sure they’re outlaw over here . but I do hear a few of the older GTR‘s from the 90s getting shipped over. I had a friend that was a mechanic that worked for Holden and then shifted over to Chrysler or Dodge. Not sure what y’all call it over there. He was going to find me a 265 in-line six hemi oh I wanted one of those so much but he couldn’t locate one and I’m sure thetrip to bring it over here it was very expensive. I’d love to have one of those six sounders
@@glynnsears466 Or a Ford Barra Motor! 4.0L Inline-6 Turbo. I wish we got them in the US. Every Ford Motor they released here in the US, up until VERY recently at least, were garbage and we got none of the actual good reliable and sporty motors. Like the performance oriented 4-cyl turbos, AWD cars, or the I6T's like the Barra motor, from an Australian Ford Falcon Turbo model I believe...
@@mxracingunlimitedltd7784 so I’ll built my own in-line six cylinder. The base unit was a slant 6 to 225 I went all balls out on it found a 1960 model truck engine and they call it over here. The yellow block high nickel content. I bought 100,000 wise code to build me some pistons the companies based in California deck block .100 and the head .250 the slant six have a very deep head deck Put Chevrolet 305 valves in had Clifford research to grind me a cam the specs on the custom ground. Cam was pretty radical..294 in 205 ex 554 x560 Built my own four barrel intake manifold run a 650 double pumper three and one headers I went through five automatic transmissions ditch that and put a 33 four speed with 391 gear seen 7000 RPMs at the drag strip a slant six and a 440 use the same time and chain so true timing chain with a 440 fluid damper everything balanced, smooth glass other than the choppy Idol, but I would still love to find one of those in line 6, he there’s an Australian guy that build those is really really good but he’s quite a potty mouth lol he has a RU-vid channel if you wanna watch it
I have a future car or should I say in the future I have a car that I wanna kind of restore I’d like to go all the way factory, but I have too much hot rod in my black veins. It’s a 1978 Plymouth super coupe with a E 58 engine package 81,000 miles on it. I replaced the floor pans. It was a Flintstone machine engine runs but as you know when they set the valve stem seals get bad so it keeps the mosquito population down. I could not find the original rims so I got. Correct1978 police car rims which are 15 x 8 look really good these are really nice cars. They handle real well. They ride smooth especially with the police package front end.
@@glynnsears466 the R8 was officially sold in the US but in very low numbers. For instance in 2023, the final year the R8 was produced, only 631 were sold in the US.
From this video, I realized how important it is to drive safely. It's not just about putting yourself in danger, but also those around you. The situations depicted in the video clearly demonstrate the severe consequences of not following traffic laws. Let's drive safely and be responsible members of the community!
Why would the cop who caught the guy sleeping straight up tell him he was in a stolen car? If it were me, I woulda lied and been like “we’re gonna let you go with a warning, but did you know your bumper is barely hanging on? Come look real quick before you go.” Then you handcuff him. Most of these guys are dumb enough to fall for shit like that, and if he doesn’t, then at least you tried some kind of tactic rather than immediately making the guy want to run away.
That would more than likely be illegal and infringe on the suspects constitutional rights given they were under arrest at that moment for the stolen vehicle lying about the reason to step out would make the arrest unlawful.
Police need to up their dashcam game. Should be able to ID a license plate from a block away. My doorbell is in 4K and can record for weeks and connects to facial recognition AI.
“three supercars: two challenger hellcats and a Mustang GT”…Like, the hellcats, maybe, and it’s still a stretch. BUT IN WHAT WORLD IS A MUSTANG GT A SUPERCAR 😂 absolute delusion
theyre all supercars to normies bro, dont hate on em. and all mustangs look ugly until the year 2023 excluding the old ones pre 21st century, so you can hate on them instead. much love
But ........non car guy who's never built his own and won races and been an actual winner because of his own work/ideas.think...if mustangs and hellcats have twice the horsepower what's questionable IS YOU OR THEM CALLING THOSE CARS SUPERCARS.
The guy who stole the Audi, when he got to his house, it was beautiful, his backyard was groomed and he had a garden. Just a nice guy who likes stealing cars?.
The trooper should have STOPED the mustang GT . But his EGO wouldn't let it go.... he had the plate info, NOW HE PUT THE PUBLIC AT RISK. ( I just want them all. ). need to END high speed pursuit. NOBODY WIN'S.
@@terrymorrison7263 BTW you might also want to consider spelling, grammar and overall sentence cohesiveness... Something like "the trooper should have stopped the mustang gt. But his ego wouldn't let it go - - he had the plate info, but put the public at risk. Nobody wins."
Well, this is a comment section. We don’t know what country he’s from but I agree these high-end pursuits get their tag. You know they’ll pop up again they’re habitual adrenaline junkies.
