The ones with the ribbon attached to the beads, I use them to change the look of my lampshades in my bedrooms. I just glue the ribbon to the inside and then all you see is the beads hanging down looks really nice. It’s upscale.
You made out like a bandita, 9:41 Girl!! Great, eclectic selection. I’ve seen those coppEr tubes (if indeed pure copper) or something similar, used as a bezel setting by cutting the tube to size.
Turtle Island Beads was a store in Baraboo WI, just outside the well known Wisconsin Dells. I miss that store. I’m in a community just west of Milwaukee County and whenever we would go to the Dells, I would always ask my husband to stop there. Unfortunately they went out of business years ago
I think the beaded fringe would make cool choker necklaces. Don't laugh but I watch a lot of gun smoke and the ladies on that show wear choker necklaces with fringe like that. I love them and I was thinking I'd love to make some. I love love love all of the dresses and jewelry Kitty wears. 😁
Omgoodness I would be in heaven with all the seed beads and the fire polish beads yes all worked on a loom. lol I think Goldie was telling you “not today momma, not today” lol silly pup. 🤣🤣🤣 as for the fringes I glued them to the bottoms of my lamp shades, made the lamps look fancy. lol tfs hugs to y’all.
I actually bought that red strand that you showed at the start of the video. I made a super cute asymmetric necklace with black druks and wore it with my fave black cardie with red roses on it. It was as close to a power outfit that I had back in my working days. It is interesting to see the muted palette that was favored by the previous owner. If this was from an estate sale, I hope they were able to enjoy beading for as long as possible. Your video is like a tiny peek into the window of their aesthetic. Thank you!
WOW! 😲 I must confess that, since I'm old, with failing eyesight & arthritic hands, I will never be a bead weaver (although I truly admire the look of the finished pieces & applaud anyone who has the patience & talent to do anything so "fiddly")...so the huge amount of seed beads (especially the 11/0's) really aren't my jam...HOWEVER, all those fabulous fire polish & the few lovely gemstone strands alone are probably easily worth at least five times what you paid for the lot! BRAVO, girl...BRILLIANT buy! 👍 As for my favorites, there were so many yummies, I honestly can't REMEMBER everything I saw! 😆 Out of what I CAN remember though, I think all the picasso rondelles, the little yellow picasso rice beads, the cobalt blue cathedral beads, ALL the gemstone strands (Personally, I LOVE just about any kind of "pretty rocks")...the pale purple fire polish strand...and the one that really knocked me out...that little strand of faceted azuro rondelles (MAJOR "bling" on my screen 😋)...all those were my faves! THANKS for sharing & enjoy that haul in good health, dear soul! Oh, but I can't forget SWEET, ADORABLE Goldie...she is, was, and ALWAYS will be my VERY FAVORITE! 🥰 Hugs & cuddles headin' in your direction! 🤗💞
Hi there Ninjabookitty!! Along with you and Brittany I use my left over Chinese black bowls with clear tops, frozen dinner trays, shoeboxes, pencil cases, extra Potomac boxes to store my beads etc in and also to use as trays for sorting (the left over clear shredded cheese cups from Chipotle’s makes the best sorting for when you’re working on a project!! ) but my overall favorite storage item plus this Is where I also store my finished jewelry in bags and label the containers are the red lid and clear bottom lunch meat u get in the refrigerated section///so sorry 😐 I can’t remember if this is from hill shire farms but you’ll recognize it by the red lid and clear container. I have a special huge craft bag that I store all finished jewelry in there and labels could be gemstone necklaces, beaded earrings etc. ) of course I do have bead organizers etc. but you’ll be surprised 😲 what you’ll come across at home to store beads, finished jewelry etc. in. FYI::: IF YOU DIDNT ALREADY KNOW SAVING THOSE SILICONE PACKETS THAT COME IN SOME PILL BOTTLES OR NEW SHOE BOXES ETC. Are great for keeping tarnish at bay a little longer. I put 1 in with my good wire like my silver filled or gold beads etc I see might be losing color and presto!! I sure hope you’re not upset 😠 with me for replying back to you with such a long long message!! Melissa aka Made With Love 💜💜 By: Mel
I don't use seed beads very often because it's hard to see the holes. But I do like those larger ones that you got. I have a beautiful multi strand of Czech seed beads and they are amazing. And I also have a mixed glass strand with large holes. I love using them as spacers.
LOL Ping pong ball!!! yes, but you never know what you might get in a garage sale type grab bag.... dice, marbles, fish tank items and ..... chime in everyone!!✌✌
WOOOWWWW!!!! Lucky YOU!! I’m in LOVE!! I’m a gemstone addict sooo, I think the black lace agate and sardonics along with ALL the seed beads are my favorites. The trims you pulled out and wanted to know what you make with them, I make a MESS! They’re fun to look at and play with. I guess if you were from India or some place like that, you could use them on your clothing 🤷♀️. Nice haul, love looking at all your goodies!♥️♥️
Just a little FYI for you the sun will fade some of those natural the still might be what you said it is it's just faded out because of the Sun have fun for me and have a good day
all those trims had me hyperventilating. I attach them to the bottom of the tags and bookmarks I make (I'm a card maker). They dangle below the edge of the book or journal and look luxurious.
Your so funny, some seed beads looked like bug eyes to you. So you said you didn't know if you could handle that, probably referring to whether you would keep them or not.
Hi 👋 Brittany!! Long time no talk! So sorry 😐 I still am dealing with serious health issues still after 2 years (going to specialist after specialist;test after test, hospital stays again! Ugh I miss creating my jewelry as u are well aware I haven’t made anything new in 2 years but I plan on trying to make some new Halloween 🎃 items and pink ribbon jewelry this month to sell on Poshmark hopefully( in fact I know you will be on Facebook for the special Jesse James and Softflex trick or treat kits). I have an idea of doing a Victorian style necklace with black ribbon and the zombie/skeleton cameo possibly in red and black and maybe white)!! I CANT THANK YOU 🙏 ENOUGH FOR taking the time to share your Czech glass bead hall!! I know I have told you before I just love Czech glass and have over 50 lbs. of it(no joke). QUESTION:: WHAT ARE THE CZECH GLASS ROLLERS USED FOR: I have heard of them but not sure what to do with them??? Also how do you plan to do your destash of these items?? I would be so so interested in some of the seed beads and some of the Czech glass)!!! Maybe 1day we can text each other and I can send you some of my Czech glass that you may not have and we could maybe do an exchange!! I sincerely apologize for the super duper long message but I wanted to let you know why I haven’t been in touch with you lately (since I used to watch all your new videos as soon as they came out). Much love 💜💜😘😘😍😍 and I hope you enjoy 😉 your Halloween 🎃 project and showing us how to make Ethan gorgeous silk ribbon necklace!! Your friend:: Melissa aka Made With Love 💜💜💜 By: Mel
Good to hear from you, Melissa! You can use the roller beads for anything really! I think I’m going to use them on leather. When I destash some of this haul it will be in my bead group on Facebook. The link is in the description of the video! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
