This might be the best 125cc 2 Stroke MX battle ever. We took our cameras to the UK EVO MX series and caught one of the best races we have ever witnessed. Featuring Former GP ace Tom Church on his 1988 Honda CR 125. This battle with John May is as good as you'll see anywhere on the planet in any series. Flat out two stroke bar banging from start to finish. Simply awesome!

The best sound in the world and it doesn't lose you tracks. The helmet cam makes my heart race and I keep looking for good lines..... forgetting this guy knows lines way better then me.

that was sick. some intense final laps. i wish i had 1% of those skills. never even ridden on a mx track before. just trail riding. ive gotta fix my cr125 already. its been too long. way too long. p.s - damn 125's make a beautiful sound. better than any music.

Great race ! Cool track with elevation changes ! I remember these heyday of MX bikes. Seeing them new in the bike shops back when for 2500 new. My 1987 KX 125 Works Replica wasn’t as good as my friend 1988 CR 125. Thanks again for that race video 999 Lazer !!

Thanks for watching Shane! From what i've read those old CR's were just so quick out of the box, maybe not as reliable as people had come to expect from Honda though...

@@999lazer My 88 Cr125 was far and away my favorite MX bike. I have still never found a bike with as much top end power. Other makes had better low end grunt and some had a bigger mid-range but nothing was even close on the top. Once you figured out how to keep it on the pipe you could make it fly. Mine was very reliable as well. Put a piston and ring in every few motos and change the oil and it was solid. The reliability question marks were generally people who didn't maintain them.

Excellent video max !! I live in box just down the road. Allways loved the Ford track. Marshfield up the road is a great track to. I think tom uses that as his practice track. The church name is very big in our area. Its a great shame his ex team mate mark hucklbridge when they were on Kawasaki's is no longer with us !

For info ,,,, Kawasakis and Suzukis were quite weak in the 80's Yams and Hondas were the reliable bikes from memory
