This was awesome. Having read all the books about Elson, Wallace and the Hubbard's it was great to actually see Grand. You folks do a nice camp. Thank You
“Joey Smallwood Outdoors” is what I see.🤷♂️ The videos are great. Been on Grand Lake and the woods of Western Newfoundland with my late father. The videos bring back great memories. But I can’t help seeing Joey… 😁
I don't trust those shots with fish next to a can or bottle. I inherited my dad's fishing kit, and along with it, the famous miniature bottle of coke. 😃. We used that on many trout fishing trips. 🙂 Hell of a nice set up, and what a trout that big one was! I hope you not inviting me was just an oversight and I'll be coming next time. Till then, I'm pretty jealous.
That's living life. I like the A frame tent. Nice. But I think you guys were a little too comfortable! All you did was eat and relax around the tent. Great country.
Nipigon is on my bucket list, so are a few others in Canada. Due to the size of the brook trout available. But for being in the US I live in the state with the largest native brook trout population in the nation , so not a bad second!
I am aware, there are also Artic char , known as Blueback trout in Maine. Maybe your location only has native as sea run , but other places have different native species. Check Maine IF&W website , you will find that we do not raise or stock Blueback/ Artic Char from any hatchery.
I’m sure there’s a story behind that pot you use. It looks homemade. I’d love to know more about that pot…and kettle. I’m very fond of well used gear because they come with great stories
The wind and wave noise seemed deafeningly loud. Did you guys consider a mire sheltered location? Also how did you make out getting all those trout home without them spoiling? Whats yer secret?
I don't think it's Grand Lake but it does kind of look like I used to fish in Grand Lake around the Narrows in Howly was very great trout fishing at one time not fussy fishing there anymore because now for every 20 salmon there is only one trout looks like these guys are only catching trout and no salmon that's why I don't think it's Grand Lake
