Those odd looking plug wires are from an Air Force surplus air craft starting engine . I bought a 49 F1 back in the 70's that had one of those engines and got all of the parts that were removed before the 239 was put into the truck that I bought ... The ignition system was supposed to be externally spark proof as it was used to start gasoline fueled aircraft .
Those blue braided plug wires with the copper color cap is for a late 70s military M880 dodge w200 kind of rare, but not worth much i have one of these trucks with civilian plug wires
A friend was moving from Arizona to Pa, 26 foot truck like yours. He ran over a blanket in the road and the driveshaft caught it, as it was whipping around it grabbed the wiring harness and ripped it all out! He got towed in and had to unload it all into another truck. Lucky for him it wasn't quite like your load!
Hey guys, I think I would be more worried about the truck catching fire than the battery going dead. 2nd the truck going tits up and having to transfer everything to another truck on the shoulder of the interstate. Obviously that didn't happen, so great trip. You could do a show called "Hod Rod Pickers". I was surprised he let go of the rug Granny made, but if she made that I'm sure she made a lot more for the family. Looking forward to Friday's video. BITCHIN!
While cleaning op my shop. I found the old 3 legged tripod screw bumper Jack I found in a 33 Ford Tudor I once owned. The car was very rough, but it was fixable. If you’re interested in the jack, I will gladly send it to you.
that ford tractor fan blows thru the radiator it was used whe ww2 rads went from copper to steel the dist would get wet when rad boiled because steel didnt cool like copper. it would blow the water forwards.

I would have expected U Haul to have designated service providers in all major cities and towns to deal with most forms of common problems that hirers are likely to encounter. If it were not for technical knowledge you would be stuck. BTW, what drivers license requirements do you need to hire a vehicle of that size?
I had a tire on a loaded UHaul burst at speed on the highway 💥- sounded like a cannon. I was able to slow down safely and pull over - so lucky right at a rest stop exit. Was an hour from the destination. Thankfully dude got there with a spare wheel in about 30 mins. Could have been so much worse but UHaul put my life at risk with a crappy front tire. 😡
I HATE, HATE, HATE modern electronic junk cars. I own mainly vehicles from the Sixties, At least they do not light up like a Chrismas tree and in general they always run. Electronis may be good (nah!) when they work, but if there is some gremlin, noone can fix this junk computer vehicles, Electronic sensors that push the gas pedal, switch the power steering on and off, flow sensors and all this garbage are a ticking timebomb.Who needs this bullshit anyway?
Good thing you didn't call U-Haul, they would have sent a tow truck and told you get your stuff out of the truck and you're on your own . The most fked up company I've ever dealt with.
