@Quirin M. thts how it should be tho man along as ur not acting like a fool on the highway then it shouldn't be a problem. But im from a small town in the country so we all ride four wheelers like if I need to shoot to the store to get a drink or some cigs then ill just jump on my raptor and go im like 10mins from a town so it don't take long at all. I've got my raptor 700 with abt $3600 in mods including my wrap a Polaris sportsman 800 and a brute force I drive those every once in a while if im gettin a cple things bcuz I got a seat thts waterproof it and cushioned and the back and both arm rests are compartments tht are a decent size tht I usually load with ice & beer when I go to like busco Beach to ride it really comes in handy and what I like abt it is it aint a hardback like alot of em I don't like those so when I found the ones I have now I made sure to go ahead and order them off Amazon. And I was curious the next day l went and looked for them the next day because my homeboy wanted one and they were gone so im glad I ordered em when I did
A friend of mine has a Banshee. He used to fuck with the cops at night, get them to chase him, then lose them. After he lost them, he would follow them with his lights off. After a minute or two, he would turn his lights on and then pass them. It was hilarious!
Did something like that once on a snowmobile. After school was cancelled because of a big storm decided to drive around town on the street looking for a cruiser. After finding a cop I did donuts next to their car to get their attention and took off. Cop didn’t even move his car lol
7 years later... Still attempting to catch a now faded yellow Yamaha Banshee atv, male white, gray hair about, 42 years old!!! Lmfao!!!I You can't catch a ghost!!!
toordog an ATV that reaches speeds near 100mph with long stroke suspension and acceleration to rival a Ferrari 458 in a 0-60 run... Yup nothing special. Crown Vic totally should keep up through the gravel roads and across fields.
@@crfisaiah3963 no he’s right I think it got deleted off RU-vid, I remember exactly what he’s talking about it was a picture of this quad(yellow and purple banshee) and the description read”the bandit 4mill basnshee” and then went into some specs about the engine, I remember seeing it years ago and I always looked for it and could never find it but this man is correct
Dear police, thank for spending more of your towns fuel money chasing some dude just going to the snake shop...We cant all afford government issued vehicles!
Not all cops are bad people. But this was a victimless crime, riding without a helmet. If he wants to die, let him be. It only became dangerous to the rest of the public when the cop decided to chase him.
that like a cop holding onto a car that's driving off and then blame the guy driving or a off duty cop gets in a gun fight with a guy that hit a car that took off when the off duty chaste after the guy cops and there gi joe crap get people killed
Two weeks later the cop drove past him flipped over in a ditch and trapped under the ATV. He slows, gets eye to eye contact, tips his hat, and drives on.
He's doing his job 😂. Now I'm not saying in this specific point he's in the right. There's no cars in this video and he should leave the guy alone. However in almost every other case the rider is doing illegal shit.
rich adamski exactly he fmgave the cop respect and was just putting along. Not bothering anyway. But because of the dumb law about atv. He put streets at risk chasing something not worth chasing.
As the quad driver as he left the dust cloud the police was trailing ,the stand of trees on the corner would have hidden his escape . the road to the right had an short cut field .
Back many years ago, when I frequently road dirt bikes off road, at some point, you’d have to cross or travel upon a paved to either get back to residence or your truck. So unfortunately, it was not uncommon to have interactions with law enforcement, since I rode often on military base training grounds , it was generally with MPs, but I would be miles away before they could get in the jeeps & give chase, but I had one very close call with a local municipality sheriff Capt. I was in an unfamiliar area , when they attempted to block me in, of course, I took off , they gave chase, I was on. YZ250 , which probably only maxed out at 80-85mph, so they caught up quickly on the major roads, I wasn’t going to drive straight back to my home, so I took potential refuge through down a residential side road, I couldn’t of stopped at that point if I had wanted to as they were 2 ft from my rear tire, I made a couple turns & quick acceleration & easily out maneuvered the large car, & eventually saw a street sign that indicated a Dead end street- That was my saving grace, I hit it, to the end of the street, continued through the woods, I made sure I traveled deep into the woods, & shut er down, just camped out til dark, pushed the bike out, quietly back home, as I imagined the cop was pissed & likely circled every possible exit to the woods for hours, watching for me to emerge. Fortunately the bike had no plates & I was in full camo, nothing to distinguish me or the bike. I would often see the cop in local stores, & he obviously didn’t know I was the guy he had chased, fortunately no one got hurt, & I didn’t get caught & bike impounded.
With dust trail suddenly ending it was obvious the quad turned off at the intersection at 2:12 yet the cop continues on another half mile - Hell, even WE could see he turned before that. Was this cop a rookie or something? What a complete waste of time to even try catching someone under these conditions...
I always love the beginning of this video. The guy drives past the cop all normal and stuff and as soon as the cop is 3/4 into his turnaround , you hear the ATF speed up. Show time LOL
It was at night, plenty of moon and I was riding a Honda 250R three wheeler on a county sanded road. I was goofing off along the side of the road driving around 10-15 MPH. A car approached me from behind and I didn't think anything of it until I saw the lights flashing around me. I nailed the throttle and got it up to top speed of 80 MPH in a few seconds, killed the lights and took off across a field. It was over faster than it started. Cops vs off road vehicles are no match in the right environment. I've been ticketed before riding on county roads and there are about 17 different citations they can right you up for. Brake lights, non-DOT tires, license plate, not inspected for highway use, non DOT headlights, blah, blah, blah. What gripes me is I see gas powered golf carts driving around on city streets, Utility vehicles and other off-road vehicles in the city and there's no penalty. Here I was on a sanded county road, no traffic and I got picked on while all these other people today get a free ride. Ain't fair I say.
Your playing in that’s Banshees stomping grounds . And you really thought you were going to get it lol 😂 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 looks like they are pretty desperate !!
Sometimes people just need to do stuff like this.....not saying its right but it seemed the cop enjoyed it a little too....bet that was actually pretty fun for the banshee rider(ive never been arrested or ran from authorities so its just the action movie fantasy i like haha)
BlakeTahoe AudOregon I worked with a guy once in wisconsin who knew a ton of cops and said him and his family often would have chases with police as practice for them in very rural country roads. I don't know if it was all legal, he would talk about it as if the cops were just car guys who wanted to see how fast the cars they always worked on could go. Like it was all in good fun.
Dan M it's probably true what your friend is saying, not all cops are dicks. I have been asked to race by cops, always turn them down. Was given a thumbs up at a stop light after completely blowing the rear tires off leaving a parts store.
im thinking that is also the reason the cop went to do a traffic stop. otherwise the guy was golden. there is even a sign at the intersection at the beginning of the video that if im not mistaken indicates the road is also a legal atv route
Stupid as hell. Chasing an ATV at speeds like that. You are risking your life and the life of anyone that meets you, just for a traffic citation for operating an ATV on the roadway.
Especially on the dead gravel roads like that.... There is no way.... If I was a cop I wouldn't have even tried... Once I hit gravel dead roads I would have just turned my ass around and found something more important to do.
I had an '89 and a '92 and just what you saw happen is correct! If i remember correctly with the stock sprocket (14 tooth front and 41 tooth rear) 90mph topped out. It was a bit much for trail riding though so we geared them down to 13 tooth front and 44 tooth rear. That dropped the top end down to 70-75 mph but it was much better for trail riding. They were an awesome machine.
Let's not forget the sluggish performance of even the latest police vehicles in addition to the 300lb driver, standard police equipment bolted in and on, junk in the trunk...
I know I'm supposed to be a responsible, serious senior citizen, but I get the giggles every time I see one of these young folks on a dirt bike or ATV make idiots out of cops. Reminds me of my own fun-and-games on a 250cc Honda Scrambler many years ago. They used to harass anyone under thirty who was riding a bike.
