Me neither. HOA probably was a good idea a long time ago but now they think they can rule everyone. My philosophy is I can do and have whatever decor I want on my own property that I have paid for.
HOA'S come with rules, you may not like the rules.... however, you don't want people just putting up ship😜 and bring down your property values. I also wouldn't live in a HOA, but I think you understand what I am trying to say about property values. Have a good day, and stay away from HOA'S.

Having lived in one of those areas briefly, it's mostly because they want *"uniformity"* in the neighborhood. Everything looks like it's from a cookie cutter... and REALLY boring.
The old man needed the person taping to get out and help. We have become a rude society. Instead of making fun of him, help him. You never know that could be you someday
And we should keep in mind that we will probably end up hard of hearing when we age. Although I will say that it is better to go inside if you have hearing problems, because the sound quality of those drive through things is awful.
Can't stand HOA's! My Mom has a "villa" ( fancy name for duplex), there are 5 of them - so 10 families. They wouldn't let her mow her own yard, which she loved doing her yard. They made her take out a very nice rock lined flower bed. They told her mow people were supposed to use her driveway. It was always something! For 10 families! Act like the Gestapo! My property, be damned if I would pay fees to have a bunch of control freaks tell me what I can & can't do!
Except that you would, or be fined. If you're in an HOA neighborhood you signed a legally binding contract to do so. Honor your commitments. I know I make my clients respond when they've signed a contract because I have the law on my side.

the HOA in surprise,az tried this on me , and they wanted me to join the HOA rules, when i OWN THE LAND THAT THE HOA IS LEASING FROM ME, ? i had a board meeting the next day and told the hoa to stick it ? i wrote to contract that are not going over rule my decision. SO I DIS BANDED THE HOA AND NOW THE HOMEOWNERS ARE AT PEACE.
HOAs seem like an enforcement of the Stepford Wives with cookie cutter lawns. Picket fences and everyone minding your business for you. I would never live like that......or I would and be the rebel causing problems and doing the opposite. 😂
I'm so glad I don't live anywhere there's an HOA! They are the worst. Some of them can try to take your house for "violations". It's total BS for anyone to tell a homeowner what they can or can't do in their own home. Their entitlement is unreal🤦🏻♀️

Yep! Completely agree! They got trespassed for a reason! I had a similar situation happen to me. I had just moved into a townhouse and couldn't figure out why my water bill was so high. Come to find out my neighbour's never paid their bills and got their water and electric cut off frequently. So they were sneaking over to my house and using my outside spigot when I would leave for work. One morning,I forgot something and came back and she was at my spigot using my water for her coffee pot. I completely lost my shit on her! My water bill was upwards to $100! F that! I work to hard for my money.
My water bill is attached to our sewer bill. Every gallon that is used is double the pay for the sewer. Even if the water goes in the ground or not.So yes I would be mad!

When you deal with the HOA any little thing they are like oh no you can't do that and they have crazy rules that makes no sense my aunt and uncle had to deal with them I also don't care to live anywhere where I have to deal with the HOA.

I hate to get both my neighbors to sign a paper saying I could put a swing set up in my OWN backyard!! The people on our HOA committee are total jackasses and nosey and are power hungry. When my children are old enough and out of the house…we’re out of here!!
99% of people who live in one, that is exactly what they want! It is a community for Karens, you would never choose that community because you are not a Karen.

I would want the department of health to take a look. My son when he was little got food poisoning from a restaurant and spent about four weeks in hospital very sick. If you are in a restaurant and the person taking money from you and giving you change then makes your food without washing hands or wearing gloves, don’t eat it. Money is covered in bacteria. Raw chicken is especially dangerous, we almost lost our son.
I have tinnitus....this interferes with my hearing, so the certain way ppl talk can make it hard to understand. So I can understand how this guy feels in first clip at McDonald's...I hope he got his food😊
Most American neighborhoods are like that. But some people here are buying homes in a housing development that has a Home Owners Association. By buying a house in an HOA development, they are agreeing to abide by the rules of that HOA. I wouldn't do it, because you are basically signing a contract where they have a right to tell you what to do with your own property.
Agreed it's gross but that's not their sink. Their sink is in the back. That's the pizza toppings line. The lady ordering seems to be there close to closing. They have broken it down ready to store stuff and clean so it's empty. I agree she shouldn't have done that. The chicken should definitely not be in that.
We don't have an HOA where I live but we have a lot of nosey entitled neighbors. If they did have bylaws to hide behind they would bully the living crap out of everyone.
I currently live in an HOA community. First and last time I make that mistake. My husband put it best, when he said it's like we pay people to tell us what to do with our own property! In your infamous words "RIDICULOUS!!!" Also I follow a few different "Karen " pages including Both of yours, and by far yours ( both) are hands down the most accurate, up to date, pages that I have come across. Kudos and well done. To be honest id have lost my shit at the woman constantly implying the sexual interest, she knew it wasn't about that, she was just using it as a weapon to justify her outrage at someone telling her kid what to do.
The first video is textbook HOA. When you buy the house, you sign papers agreeing to those terms. I currently live in an HOA, and as annoying as it is, I signed a contract saying I would submit requests for any changes I make (even in my backyard). I hate that people then upload vidoes to make the HOA person look like a Karen. They are only doing their job.

Bottom line, none of them will ever pay one cent of my mortgage payment, not one penny of my property taxes nor will they ever pay a penny of my utilities. I lived in an HOA once, that's all it took, never again, I was so excited to finally leave that house. The neighbors were awesome, but the HOA board, Geeeezzzz, what a bunch of Karans!!
HOA’s were begun with the best of intentions to protect the value and integrity of the neighborhood. To keep people from throwing beer cans and broken furniture and mattresses in their front yard, or having multiple cars up on blocks on the lawn for extended periods, etc. It has since turned into a nightmare for some.

News flash for anyone living in an HOA the residence can force a vote to abolish the HOA. All it takes is during a HOA meeting someone raise the proposal to vote the HOA out, and someone else to second it.
One day I walked into a Dominoes and ordered, the guy took my money and proceeded to make my pizza with out washing his hands or putting on gloves, I told him I wanted a refund and stated why, he got so embarrassed!!
So, the two guys, the property OWNERS, took all of that time to put up the twine and pink flags to mark the property line, and now they're *ALLOWING* her to take down all of their hard work. Why?? I probably would have started by grabbing her phone and tossing it INTO her yard, well away from my property markers. Then, a non-emergency call to the police. Who, when and how did this GD HOA 💩get started. If I purchased/own the house AND the property it’s setting on ?, I pay the property taxes. I’m paying off the mortgage. Keeping all the bills to be paid. I’m caring for everything, I will not ever see how someone else gets to make the rules of what I can or can not do with my home and what I am able to provide for myself and my family. 😡
