We didn’t expect to find crazy delicious Thai street food in the quiet city of Phatthalung - and certainly not GIANT HEAD-SIZE RIVER PRAWNS! We followed ‪@MarkWiens‬'s recommendation and tried his favourite restaurant in this area and we also checked out a local Thai shop famous for their sago dessert! I know it as a green coloured sago with some pieces of sweet corn in it and salty coconut milk. Do you think it's the same? It's really time to return to Thailand when see you eating that yummy food 😋

Yes we’ve had that before too! That one is called Sa Koo Khao Pod (sago with corn), very delicious 😋 Phatthalung is famous for their sago because of all the sago palms in the area… and I think the dessert place we went to was extra good because they make their sago fresh everyday so the texture doesn’t get mushy from sitting overnight.

So So Fresh. Straight From The Fisherman. So Excited You Showed Me Inside The Kitchen & Watched While The Yummy Food Cooked. Biggest Shrimp I Have EVER Seen. Out Of The 3 That Was My Favorite, Specially With The Huge Pieces Of Crab (( Love Crab )). I Could Eat That Ever Week. Flora Showed Me The 2ND 1 Was Like Eating Fire. Dripping On Note's Forehead Says It ALL. I Laughed So Hard When The Kitchen Lady Said NOT SPICY. Desert Looked Yummy. What An Excellent Job / Video For This (( 1 )) Bloopers Showcased The Fire Dish We Thought.

I really enjoy watching the three of you eating and tasting all that food . Btw… I went to some of the Mark Wines places recommended by him and I must be honest , some of the dishes he loved so much didn’t drive me mad and it was a waste of money and time . But taste is personal .

O.M.B. those river prawns are so meaty and the legs have so many meat 😮 i bet it tastes amazing. I am getting very hungry looking at this video you guys, the cat fish is Aroi mak mak and Ped mak as far as the look on your faces 🥵 , never have eaten it that way but i do love it. In the southern the local people called Kaeng Som (แกงส้ม) but in the other part of Thailand we called Kaeng Lueng (แกงเหลือง) which is so different from the original Kaeng Som for both color and taste.

I love those prawns with long arms. You have to try TUM YUM prawn. Oh you don't know what you are missing. You are correct. The thing from the head made it out of this world. The soup and the meat would take you to heaven.

@@FloraandNote I visited Cambodia in 2003. That was the first thing I asked for because we can't find it here in the USA. A Cambodian friend took us to a restaurant where they ordered a couple dish with prawn. That TUM YUM PRAWN was out of this world as I remember it today. Another friend roasted some prawn later that week at his residence. I didn't care much of that because butter in the head would not let eat much of it. I guess it is very tasteful and addicted when it's diluted in the soup.

แกงส้มนี่เหมือนเป็นอาหารจานหลักของภาคใต้เลยครับ แทบทุกบ้านต้องทำกินอย่างน้อยสัปดาห์ละครั้งเลย รสมือคนพัทลุง หนักแน่น จัดจ้าน สุดในภาคใต้แล้วมั้งครับ ฮาร์ดคอร์ ได้แรงอกมาก 55555 เต้าคั่ว ถ้าได้ลองกินที่ไม่ vegan น่าจะยิ่งอร่อยครับ ต้องใส่กุ้งทอด เส้นหมี่ด้วย แต่ส่วนใหญ่แถวสงขลาบ้านผมเกือบทุกร้านติดหวานเกินไปทั้งนั้นเลย 😂

Guys, I recommend you to try food in Phuket. The food there is heavily influenced by Chinese cuisine, it should be less spicy than typical southern dishes. Nice content by the way, i enjoy watching your reactions when you try those foods.

Sqiud black ink (หมึกน้ำดำ), stuffed mackerel (ปลาทอดเครื่อง),curry fried eggplant (มะเขือทอดเครื่อง), ใบเหลียงผัดไข่, หมูคั่วเกลือ , ยำสาหร่าย etc at Mor Mudong. The lists will go on an on, lol. I don' t like southern styled-"kang som" too. I do love the middle part style instead.

Southern Thai food is very bold and spicy. We love most dishes but just not Kang som 😁

Dad had a big plate of delicious pad see ew become going there as he’s not a big fan of fish and seafood. He was patiently waiting for the sago dessert 😆
