I won't be surprise if years from now Mike will have its own restaurant. Its been yrs now that you have tasted a lot of different dishes, knowing you're an expert in food tasting, maybe it's about time you open your own RESTO.
@Grapes Kinte Do you think you need to have a culinary degree to have a restaurant? kea na nay master chef and sous chef na pwd i-hire. and FYI, Mike is a very good cook.
@@MakingithappenVlog If you want good Bulalo go to LZM restaurant in Silang near tagaytay its 20-30 minutes drive from Mahogany, best bulalo I ever tasted alot better compared to tagaytay bulalo and dont forget to order their boneless Bangus fish , its really good
Thanks for the reminders about where to eat at Tagaytay, I am very much excited to try them out next week when we finally have our little vacation in the Philippines.

@@gangstagummybear3432 msg is always part of cooking in the philippines. My point is compare to other dishes of othe countries they use many ingredients, and they are good, yet in philippines u have the common ingredients, soy or fish sauce, salt, vinegar, ground pepper and veggies, u can make good food.
@@gangstagummybear3432 you can search in RU-vid how to make Pork Adobo. You will see how simple the ingredients are. You don't have to put any MSG at all. You can make it yourself even if you do not know how to cook.
If I can ever come across bulalo, I would love to try it. It's amazing how such a clear, clean broth can be so rich and deep in flavor. I don't doubt that it must be an ultimate soup experience. However, I think I'd need a bowl of rice to accompany the soup. I'd alternate between spoonfuls of broth, beef, and rice. It would be magical, I'm sure. Maybe, one day.
I came from Batangas ( and my Lolo used to cooked this ) and the original Bulalo does not have any veggies at all. Plain fall from the bone Bulalo ( Batangas Beef ) Soup cooked hours with onions, salt, peppercorns through Talyasi ( its like Filipino Wok ) and firewood, thus it has a distinct smokey taste which is unique from other Bulalo from other regions. Dipping sauce : soy sauce, calamansi, and bird eye chillies.
Maybe the bulalo you have mentioned are same from those of sariaya ,quezon...only bone marrows and some condiments added but the taste ....WOW !!!...i'm from cavite and that bulalo in tagaytay is just like ordinary "nilagang karne"😊I still remember (decades ago)my grandmother always cooked nilagang karne and she also put corn and banana(saba)aside from other vegetables
@@ronaldonardo9443 I’m from Laguna and that’s how we also cook nilagang baka with corn, Saba, pechay, cabbage, potato or sweet potato and spring onions .
I’m glad you discovered Bulalo and making it publicly known. That’s great of you of making this video. I love that soup. Have you tried Sinigang? It is also one of my favorite. Mabuhay!
Crazy Good FILIPINO FOOD at Mahogany Beef Market in TAGAYTAY. Best video. I support your video. Watched the video on July 23, 2022 very like. Thank you so much
Always enjoy watching your food vlog. You've introduced me where the originals are. I hope you don't get food poisoning! My father called the bone marrow as "utak" (brains)
Nice ..kuya Mike!. Imagine before you are seachings philippines best things..Now you are introducing every best of the philippines..We're froud of you kuya Mike..keep it up..woww!...
Love my bulalo w/potatoes so I don't need rice anymore & mash the marrow w/the soup & sprinkle it w/ soysauce & kalamansi! I dip the beef too in kalamansi & soysauce!
Bulalo in Cebuano is called Pochero which sounds Spanish. The Cebuano version has more tendons and bone marrows, making the soup ever so slightly thicker and less clearer.
bone marrow soup was once popular in New York... it's gotta have that Bulalo flavor profile...... that line "Come On Eileen" is actually an 80's song by Dexys Midnight Runners
Wow great job mike. We are glad that other foreigners is enjoying one of our famous food which is bulalo, and one of our best comfort food here in the 🇵🇭🇵🇭.
Come On Eileen, your friend mentioned on this vlog and the previous one, is a song by Haircut 100, a New Wave band back in the 80s. Good thing Bulalo restos at Mahogany Market is now upstairs, all set up and organized. Back in the day, it was ground level, within the market area and only one or two outlets selling Bulalo. Now there's a number of canteen and tables are aplenty.
My first trip to Philippines From Canada had a uncle in law drive us 2 days later to Josephine's ( Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay ) There was 9 of us that drove from Northern Manila to Tagaytay And There was 2 typhoons North And South haha We got there at night And the food was amazing But i was told Batangas has a good Bualo
Mike would love to try the bulalo at the Mahogany meat market or Antonio's when I come back home. My family in Angeles City goes there every now and then to purchase their meat supply. Here in NYC my sister and I go to our friendly butcher to buy choice cuts for our special bulalo. Did you know that one piece of bone 3/4 of a foot long costs around $8....that expensive huh. Enjoy your culinary escapades with your friends! I also noted your eating experience at the mountain top private resto in Baguio. Cool! Best to you and Nelly and your vlog.
Sir the best bulalo you can see in sa Juan batangas they call is gotto ni mang Oliver. If you go there is better early in the morning, because in 9am is already sold out,
If you're looking for one in Manila, check out Bulalohan sa espana. It's a good place to go to after having a drinking sesh with friends.. it's in Manila, near Meralco. Plus it's open 24 hours.
Mang Vic's The Original bulaluhan along kapatagan (marikina/marilaque highway) prolly the best bulalo i've had. Their selections of Turo-turo ulam too is good. Better get early there to catch the laing.
