I'm four years younger than Crazy legs, I use to breakdance back in the '80s going from estate to estate battling other crews. So, anyway seeing Crazy legs bust these moves inspired me to see if I still had what it took, so I got my boom box, my lino, and went for it ... I get out of hospital next week 😒
Wtf is with all the haters dissing Crazy Legs??!! The guy is like 50 something and holding it down! I'm 48 and I can't pick my car keys off the floor without groaning.
Crazy legs and storm are complete legends of the b boy game. Both dancers don’t have anything to prove, they were just blessing the crowd with some og flavour.
Ricky Tubens I agree. Plus, if you look at Crazy Legs back in the early 1980s, he was skinny so it was easier to do those moves. If you look at him today, his body is heavier and more muscular. His pecs are bulging out. His muscular biceps and triceps are bigger with the veins popping out. Same with his strong shoulders. The muscles have more definition after he gets all sweaty from bboying... no homo.
ilke storm & old school europe but not as original as new York they learn from us even doe crazy legs was never a dope breakers like that best Yorkers i came to known,,anyone from anywhere that battles new yorkers are no less than shitty bitters, that throw our own shit in our face. so.if your not nYc do not battle us we made you we can brake you,!
@@Plexpara point is Storm has no business battling Legs & also crazy legs was not even close to being the best he was a soso ( mediocre) breaker after 1983,,,so no point in battling legs, ..
Youth are honoured to witness crazy legs the og of break, he started this sh#t and invented 90% of the moves, badass😎 Love the vid and respect to all 👍🏿
germany was mad full of Bboys i will never forget 1996 outside a cathedral near mainz a crew performing i was 13 made my parents stay and watch them freestyle.
These are legends from 2 different decades. 80’s Crazy Legs and 90’s Storm. It is clear to see that age was more against Crazy Legs here. But he got nothing to prove, he literally invented the moves Storm did. Literally
Storm is around since the 80's . He is in Germany/ Europe what Crazy Legs is in the states. He is in his 50's also. And yes..Storm make no secret our of it that Legs was a insiration for him. Amazing battle right here.
I'm 48yrs old I was able to hold my own from 1981 until about 40 yrs old but I just don't got it no more I haven't lost my windmill yet but it's very slow
I watched this and was purely amazed as I'd never even heard of Storm but of course new CL. They both did their thing and are breakin legends but when I seen your comment I had to go back and look...WOW...completely missed that the first time that was definitely the most epic head spin I've witnessed!
IRON MIKE no way crazy legs never had power moves back in the 80's he was known for his New York style footwork which it was awesome other than that he had his swipes with his head spin
Iron Mike - they are from different eras...Crazy legs - 80s, Storm - 90s...As Nikittoo states they also have different styles...Crazy legs - more original bboy footwork and basic moves whereas Storm had some amazing power moves.
Crazy changed my life back in the day with that shoe removing back spin at the Roxy in Beat Street. I was 110% more dedicated after that. Respect to the God!
Great battle of the old school no losers here guys with that age is inspiring let this be a lesson to us all much respect to all those brake dancers ✌✌✌
I think if Crazy Legs was better conditioned (don't matter the age) he wouldn't been able to match Storms rounds, well in style anyway. You can tell even after the second round he was already a little gassed. No disrespect of course cos I know what this feels like when your mind tells you that u can do it but your body’s just not there. Respect to both though, i’m a big fan of the two legends of course. 1 Love! Pce!
This is awesome! Definetly a high setting bar. Yup Real OG BBoys dont retire!;D. Storm is a Dynamic Beast! From Europe. Crazy Legs still classic Fresh. His 3rd round was a very unique set! Good to see him hiting his staple signatures. Storm with the Pretzel!;) mad props to both pioneer and ogs! Respeacts and Love! - hELLA HUNG
This clip is old and crazy legs doesn’t move like when he was younger but still for his age he still had moves. So he will always be crazy legs. Awesome dancer!
This vato is the foist gen of break dancing ie the hoy grail of breaker boys i can deffo confirm I was at manns groman Chinese on walk of fame way back in the day cha For those of us in the know it's an l.a . thing
What amazes me is all the haters that disrespect a guy thats gotten older and of course is not in top form and can not reverse aging and time, but he still goes out there ans does what he loves. All you all who open your mouth slinging trash , lets see you try and get down like back in the day, if you ever danced anyway, the saying is ,Those who can do, those who can't just talk about it. Reguardless this man is one of the originals, he was part of history, and I detect jealousy out there. GROW UP, OR GET A LIFE.
Crazy is the original. Dude is good battling him with his moves legs created backspin and windmills. Of course it evolved and levels went through the roof.
That was embarrassing. He looks like a rotten drug uncle dancing at a block party. Time for Crazy Legs to leave it to the young kids and not make a fool out of himself.
GOD BLESS THE PUERTO RICANS AND BLACKS FOR THIS ART OF DANCE REPLACING VIOLENCE WHICH SHOULD BECOME AN OLYMPIC CHALLENGE. AND TO ALL THE FOREIGN INDIVIDUALS COPYING THEIR IDEA WITH NO ORIGIN RESPECT TOWARDS THEM YET ENJOYING THE DANCE ITSELF.
When it comes to original bboy style and flava only a handful of people can hold it down vs Legs... And it's not Storm. Move and endurance wise storm never really stopped so he was always going to be all over that. Both awesome 🤙🏼🤙🏼👏👏♥️
Crazy Legs a fucking living legend m, when you get to his age after all he has done to be breaking still is a true testament to his worldwide legendary status.
This guy is a legend, my time in the 80s, Im 51, I wish I could do a percent of his moves...The yung buck better recognize he bless to be by CLegs...icon from the past and pure legendary! Father time has bless this man..
Crazy Legs wasn’t that great then and he is ridiculously bad now. The real breakers in RSC were Prince Ken Swift, Kuriaki and Buck 4 (RIP both) Storm owned legs 100 times over
what's amazing about dancing, breaking, etc..is that these men 30 years later and then some are still moving and kickin it like they did when they were much younger men. You will not see that in too much else, for example, retired baseball, basketball, football, boxing, or even mr. Olympia 30 years past (or 10) ain't lifting the same weights he used to. but this amazing mind, body, muscle connection in dudes with tremendous high caliber breaking and dancing skills never dies. That's so awesome.
word up! as they said - its keeping of traditions and pounds of respect. Not only because of them, but also nowadays generation support. Bboy Freeze said me once: "If it wasn't for the inspiration i get from the younger guys i wouldnt dance like i do today". Thats the meaning of keeping the culture alive.
that is a very good point. when you think about it, if Crazy legs lost a few pounds, he would be pretty much back to his old self in speed and power to weight. Break dancing and weight training are the two main sports where people seem to be able to continue well over 50 years old
Respect to Crazy Legs and Storm! Storm was in his late 40’s at the time of this video and Crazy legs in his 50’s they both legends of the HipHop B-boy culture! They both were great in their own rights to keep doing this 35 to 40 years later since it was created is just Amazing!!!
People keep saying age, but regardless of age, Storm is in wayyyy better shape overall, then yeh ofcourse throw in that Storm spent his life doing power, dude is gonna have a granite set of abs for life heh.
If you were being objective, and not all googly eyed you would see that crazy legs was just an average B Boy, if it wasn't for Beatstreet most would not know who he is.
I'm sorry the truth of the matter is legs knew what the situation was. He never could really f with storm. Know Ken swift another story. That would have been a good battle
People don’t realize that Crazy Legs got a lot of neck and back injuries. Of course he can’t move like he used to. There’s a lot of moves that Crazy Legs can’t no longer do. Example: one of my favorite Crazy Legs’ moves was some time of neck bridge move he used to do and he could twist around. He was the only B-Boy I’ve ever seen to do that. Obviously, he can’t do that anymore. 40+ years of that will mess up the vertebrae in your neck.
Stylistically I like crazy legs the best, storm just has the better spin moves imo. Also good to keep in mind crazy is 50+ still doin this shit much respect.
