CRAZY MEMORIAL DAY TRAFFIC GATLINBURG, TN 2024 

Back in the day it was peaceful and quite in Gatlinburg and Piegion Forge

I left there on the 24th and I'm glad I did. It was bumper to bumper from Pigeon Forge all the way back to Chattanooga in both directions. It was insane!

This is what happened after outsiders moved here by the thousands during the pandemic. I don't go there anymore. So glad I have enjoyed it since 1997. It was so quiet and secluded all these past years.

i’ve been going to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge for 50 years and I’ve never seen it like this. It’s just not the same anymore and not worth fighting the traffic. Thanks for sharing. Have fun and be careful out there.

Ah, I miss those drives out to Cades Cove. We were there in early May & the scenery is spectacular. My husband already wants to plan our next trip & I cannot wait to come back.

We Try To Go Early Mornings Because Bears Are Out and We Always Stop At Cades Cove Store And By The Delicious Cornbread Meal ….It’s The Way We Support The Upkeep Of CCove

We left Saturday to come home. The parkway traffic in pigeon forge was crazy! Saturday was the only day we had trouble getting around. The rest of the week was easy. We went to cades cove Friday and didn’t have any traffic at all. It was the quickest drive through there that we ever had.

Still the greatest place on earth to visit!

Even with the traffic Bing a nightmare at times it is the only place we vacation we love your area it is like our home away from home.

Gatlinburg and pigeon forge have gotten so popular, everyone i know talks about going there

Always fun to go to....but we've learned to avoid going on Holidays....much more relaxed!

i’ve been going to Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge since I was a kid. I am now 70 years old and it’s not worth all that traffic to go anymore. It’s not like it used to be. Thanks for sharing

This is the new normal for Sevier County people better get use to it , it's commercials all over the Internet and TV about the GSMNP and Dollywood . Nobody complain because this keeps people in jobs in the county at least the ones that want to work

we were caught in the downpour rain with hail in Gatlinburg yesterday but everyone was smiling cause it's Gatlinburg lol

Seems like these days literally anywhere in Tennessee is beyond packed!! I go to Gatlinburg in January lol. No traffic anywhere

The last place on earth you want to go during a holiday, or even a weekend. Miserable traffic and crowds.

Were there last Monday(Sevierville),left Friday afternoon driving through the park. Saw the crowds starting to come in then!

High density, congested, slow moving traffic is one of my worst nightmares ... but are you allowed to 'filter' in Tennessee & North Carolina like we are over here in Europe?

Traffic looked bad in the Park, but downtown didn't look too bad, I've seen worse

That traffic is the exact reason my family goes to Santa’s land with my little girl it great for a 3 year old but we still love you pigeon forge lol

Holidays are the worse time to visit any park. I would forget it.

Two words....."Off Season". We never go there during the spring or summer before Labor Day.

We were there the very beginning of May this year. Pigeon Forge and Galtlinburg is disgusting. One giant amusement park all trying their best to separate tourists and their money.

People don't care no more rules don't apply to them

Wasting millions of gallons of gas in polluting an error and on top of that that's just what I want to do is spend hours in traffic just to go to Gatlinburg

And this is supposed.to be enjoyable?

Talk about exhaust fumes ,people are being poisoned just walking around terrible to breath cant smell it cant taste it but you can clearly see it
