Not surprising this could happen. All the construction and deforestation will interfere with natural integritey of the earth to be stable enough to prevent landslides.

This may be an odd question, but how was the drive up to the cabin? Some are more treacherous than others and it's a hard detail to find on the listings 😊
As you might imagine, if you are getting those views there will be a climb to get there, but the roads to this spot are very well maintained. You are literally less than five minutes to the strip in Gatlinburg.
