Fun fact - Michael Jackson was actually going to make a TRUE Successor to Thriller. While he did make another horror-themed short film in 1997, called "Ghosts", in 2001, Mike released his last album "Invincible", with the last track being "Threatened", a song similar to Thriller, but much more dark and aggressive. The song was planned to have a music video, with a choreographed dance sequence, just like Thriller. However, due to a fallout with Sony, the album became a flop for Mike's Standards, and thus only 2 Music Videos were released. Thus, the music video for Threatened was lost. Give a listen to Threatened, you can almost see Michael dancing to it.

I love Tylers music videos, he's got a whole cinematic universe and story in his videos that could easily become a movie/s, and the Wes Anderson inspiration makes it even better.

Been listening to (And downloading) a lot of MF DOOM recently (A fellow NY-er) just seeing all the old school cartoons put to him rapping. I feel like that would be cool if rappers did that more, putting cartoon scenes in from their childhood. Maybe that's just me.

Black Midi just put out a new single with an animated music video that tells a story that connected to single they put out last year. They didn’t need to go that deep but they did and it was seriously worth it because the music video is something I would watch if it was like a movies worth of time, it’s that good.

One of my favorite music videos (and favorite songs) has to be Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquois It's soooo well choreographed, especially when you consider how the walls were literally moving around him through it all. Hell, even the walls just moving around in general gives it all a really cool vibe, especially with how the camera positioning makes it look like the floor is moving instead

Daft Punk and Toei Animation's "Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem" is definitely the best music video, as it is a WHOLE ALBUM WITH A STORY WITH AND rEALLY COOL VISUALS ANd EVERYTHING!!

"Them Changes" and then subsequently "Show You The Way" by Thundercat are actually 2 parts of the same story and they're great. It's a metaphor for life kicking your ass (them changes) and other people helping you turn it around (SYtW).

Almost nobody knew Mr Rager had a music video. To be fair, there are a lot of interruptions in the song and the song itself wasn't ever a single, so it makes sense that that music video fell out of the radar, even for Cudi fans themselves.

I think ScHoolboy Q and The Weeknd have some of the best videos. Like Weeknd makes a universe for each album cycle which I love and the videos so cinematic. My favourites are Belong To The World, Live For, Heartless and Snowchild. ScHoolboy Q's videos are just so creative like witH video for JoHn Muir wHere it's in tHe perspective of tHis guy's car or tHe video for Dope Dealer wHere it's tHe perspective of weed from being a seed to being sold on tHe street.

New to the channel and love your content! I got high with my wife not too long ago and we decided to put on Prince music videos… best music videos I’ve ever seen.

My music taste got shaped by (NfS Underground 2) and 1 night on MTV where they showed "Banned Music Videos". Including TOOL, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein. The video that stuck with me the most was "Rabbit in your Headlights" by UNCLE, where a Jesus Guy gets hit by multible cars.

I sometimes binge watch all of the important Weeknd music videos, so I have to click on the “Is this okay to watch?” warning like 5 times throughout the whole thing. One downside of him collaborating with other artists is that their music videos usually aren’t as good as his. He’s got some great music videos with other artists like the ones for Love Me Harder, Die For It, Power Is Power (even if that throws in a lot of GOT clips), Lust For Life, and Over Now. But, as for music videos for songs like Low Life? You can’t tell me those come anywhere close to the videos for After Hours. And, I know that a lot of people dislike False Alarm, but that song’s music video is a huge reason why it’s my favorite off Starboy.

Music videos are the weirdest thing ever to me. Some of them are so stunning and artfully made, and some of them are some of the most nonsensical crap I've ever seen.

I think my all time favourite music video has to be FKA Twigs cellophane with the set design the story telling and her learning poll dancing for that video, everything in that video is beautiful and haunting
