The unique thing about mb14 is he doesn't use any effects on the rc-505 besides the basic reverb. He's what's known as a "vocal looper" which is very uncommon these days. One of the best for sure.

Very true, i think the one other effect he said he used is a really minimal eq for his sub bass where the only different setting is just putting the highs all the way down.

If it can help you understand the 3rd track is "the wolf", he wasn't not on pitch but making wolf noises at the end. Also I like your analysis thank you :D

im so white im a traffic hazard! I'm dead that was brilliant. some other loopers you should listen to are Robin, Frosty, Brez and Rythmind and 110% listen to DICE and his GBB 21 Wildcard, its called enter the trap i think but it's mindblowing

The best way to start looping, and all beatboxers do it and if they say they dont they are lying. Try recreating the tracks of your favorite beatbox loop routines. You learn a lot doing it, and eventually you develope your own style and tracks.

@@hurt06 that does not change the mixing. It is just as hard to mix inkies more synth heavy style as it is to mix mb14's vocal style.

Yes, but that is irrelevant when it comes to the mix. Its all just different frequencies whether it comes from your voice or from a synth its all still the same. You still have to make room for all your sounds and you still have to make the sounds fit togheter. In my opinion it is easier to live mix your voice since its already kinda glued togheter since its all coming from your vocal chords and your body. For me its harder to mix synths since synth sounds don't always have something in common, you have to glue it togheter your self using compression and eq and other producer lingo. But in the end both mb14 and inkie have amazing mixes and they are both equally impressive.

19:04 I know im 2 years late... But he didnt mess up that last note, it was never ment to repeat. It was a cute wolf howl at the end to tie the song together thematically (its called the wolf) He just got bashful right at the end of it and cut it off 😊
