CRAZY PLOT TWIST! Alice in Borderland S2E8 Reaction 

After the comet happened, everyone's heart stopped for one whole minute, then people send to the boarderland which is a boarder between life and death. In boarderland they need to fight for their own lives and play the games to survive. All the main characters are dedicated to fight for their lives, so it's not really surprising they're still alive and Mira as a queen of heart is the perfect one to be in final game, since she test the player's willingness to survive. And lastly, I think the bullet with a red line came from the sky is also represent the red line in the hospital.

I took the meaning of the Joker card as time to play the hardest game, life.

im kinda mad they didnt explain this in the show, but in the manga, she put a drug in Arisu's cup (the cup, not the tea, that way the Queen wont start tripping either) that makes you susceptible to anything anyone tells you. thats why she kept making up bullshit, she was waiting to see what story stuck with him because she was waiting for the drug to take effect.

boys, when the meteor exploded, they were all in a coma and if they chose to die in the game then they died in the coma that was caused by the meteor, many chose to die in the games so they died in real life, this game is just to test to see if they care about their lives. Despite the fact that she lied to Arisu twice, he still always waited until she finished before questioning whether it was true or not. That’s how she knew that she had him.

idk why they made it open ended with the joker card in the end. it was fully closed in the manga in the manga, Arisu meets a shadowy figure named Joker and they simply played a non-stake table game while they talked. Arisu figures out Joker's real identity is Chiron, the ferryman of death, and that the entire Borderland is limbo/purgatory in a modernized setting. there was nothing more to Joker

One of the craziest plot twist!

The Joker card essentially represents Charon the ferryman from our world to the next, his realm of purgatory aka the borderlands in this show where the games were held. Basically what happened was the meteor struck killing thousands to tens of thousands of people, a lot of them young adults/kids, Charon saw this as a waste of life and decided to give those who died a chance to live. The people who were citizens/residents of the country were people in the center of the blast/killed first so they were there longer, allowing them to go through and complete the games fully, decide to come back to the real world or in their case stay in the borderlands/purgatory and test the next group of souls to play the games. If you quit, your visa runs out, or you're eliminated in the games then you die in the real world. If you survive to the end of the cycle then you get to decide to stay or go home aka come back to life. So while it seems like the experience was only in Arisu's head everyone was playing along and competing in the games in purgatory, they just had the memories/experience wiped when they chose to wake up. The strong connections and emotions some characters had remained, Arisu and Usagi, the girl feeling a draw to Aguni fighting to survive (like they both did in the games), Chishiya feeling like he wants/needs to turn his life around (the lesson he learned from #2 in the numbers game about the value of life and ideals), etc. The manga has Arisu meet the Charon a dark/shadowy figure and they play a game at the table with no stakes and just talk for a bit. The ending here kind of symbolises that now the real game of life begins and Arisu must play it well and live life to the fullest for his friends Chota and Karube, but also for Kyuma who helped teach him that lesson in their game. All in all a dope series but I don't think there will be any more as they covered everything (almost) in the manga where we ended off.

I think you guys are correct. I think the medior hit, and they all were in a coma together fighting for their own lives. And the people that were alive after the queen of the hearts was defeated were the survivors. That was a crazy plot twist.

I fell for every single thing Mira came up with. The borderland is the limbo where the people ho were injured by the comet fall had their souls partecipate in the games. Only if they had a strong will to play and win every game, would they woke up from their coma state. This explains why many characters were still alive after going through impossible predicaments like Heya (who had a whole magazine shot at her). Death in the game is death in reality too.

The Joker card, in the manga, is a character who actually appears in the story. He’s a ferryman between the world of the living and the afterlife, who brings Arisu back to the real world at the end. So them showing the joker card could mean that the ferryman did his job and brought back all the survivors to the real world or it could also mean it's gonna be another game cos the manga has a sequel so we could get a season 3

So if they were fighting for their lives in that 1 minute, then it's understandable that they took so many shots and stabs and didn't die. 😂

Notice when a game arena started it was lit up with a bright white light? The players were heading towards the light. I see what they did there. Kind of an out there plot twist though considering it touched on nothing religious at all. Then suddenly you find out you're in limbo, or the borderland.

The Joker card is just an Easter egg for those who are familiar with the source material. The Joker was the one running the whole Borderland. The Joker card is also a metaphor for life being the final game. There are no intentions for a sequel, however, if they're greedy enough you never know. Right now this is supposed to be the end. They're no longer in Borderland.

These past two episodes made me hate Arisu. Probably one of the worst MCs ever. They have him as a super genius the 1st season. Then this season they have him where he's a bumbling buffoon like all the randos that got clapped and humorous ways in the previous games. Not to mention he was a massive pansy. Dude almost assaulted his girl, THEN tried capping her and this man still didn't pull the trigger. Oh, we can also mention the times he hesitated to cap the king of spades. Then him missing that shot where he got the jump on him from high ground. Jesus I never yelled at my TV screen before until now watching him.
