Have you ever been Skiing on Mt. Bachelor in Bend, Oregon? It’s on my bucket list, because it’s 360 degrees of mountain. It looks like a giant free ride paradise with 4,000’ of terrain. Love the footage, had to cancel my skiing today-27 windchill
lucas i have to say that what you do is absolutely incredible, the filming and skiing during the day and then editing at night with almost daily videos is amazing keep up the great work🤘🏻🤘🏻
You're so right that powder days are filled with anxiety trying to find the untouched pow and time chair openings, but the first face shot makes it so worth it. Snowboarder here, and that long traverse to Jupiter makes me envy how fast skiers can go, and the speed you have in the trees is nutssss, but i think the face shots snowboarders can make are pretty hard to beat 😊
I went skiing for the first time in years because of you yesterday. People don’t realize how gnarly the stuff you do is. Got an afternoon, went in trying to go down a blue run, accidentally hit the blacks. Calves and Legs could only take one run. 😅 You were COOKING AND BOOKING on that rope drop. Hugely impressive. I’m tryna be like you my guy. Blind tree runs.
So Im confused, why was everyone rushing? was it for the fresh snow or something? Sorry for my confusion, I have never been to my resort within an hour of opening, too far of a drive, im always late lol.
Last year was lucky enough to be in Park City for that April dump. 2 days of feet of powder with empty slopes. 1 day of Jupiter bowl feet of fresh with very few people. Then as I was heading for a red eye got the text that Snowbasin was reopening after being closed for season with 30+ inches stacked up… what a day that was
I don’t care when, but some point in your life you gotta make the trip up to Big White in Kelowna, Canada. Hands down best snow feel under foot and mad powder. Great vids bro keep it up
Love the videos Lucas! I got to meet you during this day at the bottoms of McConkeys lift I have been watching your videos for awhile and all I wanted to do was meet and I got to Thanks!
your beard looked like mine when i was keystone last year! didn't matter though it was a blast, and it wasn't going to stop me! I love your vids too. Make me want to go back out west so bad!
jupiter has been a blast wasnt up the day you were but a couple of days before when it opened on monday, me and my friends hiked scotts and straight lined it. super fun!
Hell yeah second chair, let’s go! Fresh snow with home mountain advantage is almost unbeatable. No stress you’re not skiing the best terrain, no need to worry about a cliff you didn’t know about or think to yourself is this inbounds. 👍👍🤟🏻
This has always been my favorite place to watch you ski! Thanks for a crazy rope drop day on the mountain and take your pack to a seamstress sop they can repair your zipper. won't cost much. like 15-20$. have a great day my friend and thanks for staying stoked!
Always wear your thermal to the skin. Wearing over a shirt basically prevents it from doing its job. Wick sweat away keeping you at an ideal temperature. Thermal. Wool blend mid weight for real cold days. I never did though. I just wear basic chilly brand thermals. So Thermal. Long sleeve shirt. On cold days simply add a Fleece jacket to wear over your shirt and under your ski jacket. Then if you get to hot you just remove the fleece and put it in your backpack.
It is hilarious to me how many layers you are wearing. I was on the mountain that day and had on a tshirt, wind breaker and a vest and was fine. How do you even ski with all that crap on!
That rope drop was like a video game and we all got second chair! You just got back from my CA home turf (missed you by one day at SB) and today's vid is my favorite this season. Keep the pace up if you can because damn, it's fun for us!
Happy for you for the day you had. I'm headed to PC in late January for the first time. So stoked to watch all the vids you've made there and have been patiently waiting for this Jup rope drop for the past month after you've mentioned it being an alltime favorite area of yours in previous vids. As a snowboarder that hates crowded cattracks, that race down Jupiter access gave me anxiety to watch but I can't wait to finally do it myself!
Unless you get lucky, rope drops can get tricky if you're not at a mountain you know really well. Imagine if something like that happened at Mammoth, you wouldn't know where to go? Nice work Lucas!! Timing in life is everything!!
@@LucasCatania17 the other big advantage you have at your home mountain is inside information! You had that guy updating you on lift status. I get text from lifties and bartenders at my home mountain all the time!
I was part of that Pioneer drop, was pretty disappointed in people's behavior. Not surprised though honestly. Sick vids man they really show everything pretty authentically !
Maybe look into touring bags for your backpack. You can get them in higher capacities and a lot of designs open up long ways so you can access the full contents of the bag easily. Just a thought, keep having fun dog
another great video - me, my son-in-law, one of my sons and my first time skiing daughter were at the main mountain, same time as you. We jumped over to Crescent with everyone else when they opened it. I spent my day on greens with my 20 year old first day on skis daughter so would never have crossed paths with you. Thanks for another great video, that race to the chair was crazy.
rope drop! that was insane. your the best. going to make a special stop at Jackson Hole on our way back from the family outing at Big White. Have to cross off Corbets from my Bucket list.
Newer sub to your channel (over the past couple of months) and this was one of my favorite videos. Loved the “race” to Jupiter lift. Found myself leaning and holding my breath as you skirted by skier after skier!! We’re heading to PC in the middle of January and can’t wait to ski PC and Canyons again! All the best!
Been following your channel for a couple months now. Can't believe I didn't notice you out there yesterday my brother and I had the fortune of experiencing the jupiter rope drop yesterday too!
Do you just use the normal blue batteries for the 360 or do you have the Enduro (cold) ones that they have for the 8/9/10? The Cold ones are great for the 9 I have my sim card just shoots up an error if it is too cold... Worried about that with the 360
@@LucasCatania17 interesting. What SD card do you use? It’s annoying cause it’ll work for about an hour or two then just throw up the error. If I’m not careful I’ll accidentally delete my footage lmao (I use the SanDisk 256 Extreme UHS-I Edit: I’ve reformatted a couple times too Do they have the Enduro for the max? Not seeing em online
Guess it's just me but your lift line etiquette didnt seem the greatest, pushing people out of your own way practically and hitting other skis with yours
I rode Jupiter for the first time ever the day it opened this year and it was absolutely life changing. The best snowboarding I’ve experienced in my life up to this point.
