Working on Crazy Wisdom with Andy has been one of the high lights of my career. Andy had faith in me to film the project with my phone when no one else would have. Benny Zenga edited it together beautifully. Thanks to George & Stacy & everyone at Powell Peralta. 🐉🐉🐉

Seeing the B-Roll in the credits if it being a phone kinda blew my mind. This should be a reminder to everyone, it doesn’t matter what you have, it’s how you use it.
@Jdkieddj
@Jdkieddj 6 дней назад
@@mouman The video quality could have been a lot better. I don't know if it was the rendering or encoding but you can see how much bitrate is missing. If you are using an iphone to shoot you have to keep things totally uncompressed until the final render. The skill with the phone is top tier from Nigel, but the technical of the video encoding is way off.

@@Jdkieddj yeah the video quality sucked. it was like some clips were filmed with a potato and others were fine. prime example is the pyramid ledges clip looks 480p and the clip immediately after is in perfect hd. there's a bit too much b-roll and and bails too. if they cut it down to around 6 minutes and made a few changes editing wise i think this would've been a fantastic part.

There will never be another Mullen. Taking nothing away from Andy or this part Mullen fundamentally redefined what was possible on a board in a way we will likely never see again. Mullen said let there be light as far as street skating is concerned.

@princequestly2218 I think you're completely missing the point bud. It's about inspiration to think outside of the norm. Yes Mullen invented or inspired pretty much all of today's common tricks. Skating changed forever because of him. The gnarlyness continues to go up but the creativity has definitely plateaued. Andy is far from the norm. I agree you can't compare him to Mullen based on trick invention but you can on creativity. The industry needs him and I'm glad he's around.

I will admit that I never really thought that much of Andy Anderson 5+ years ago. To be completely honest I judged him for his style and trick selection. I thought to myself that he was just too different to make it anywhere significant and that the skate industry would continue to pass by him with little to no recognition. I was wrong. Over the course of time I’ve learned to judge others less because I know that I don’t like to be judged. It’s not the way. I’ve learned that creativity is one of the most vital aspects of being a human. Watching Andy skate is witnessing the essence of love and creativity. He oozes passion. There will only ever be ONE Andy Anderson. I’m sorry that I judged you, Andy. You’re possibly the most creative skateboarder on the planet and not to mention the things you’re doing are unimaginably difficult, and you’re the only one who can imagine doing them. That right there is the source of creativity. I’m not who I used to be, as most of us aren’t. I’m happy that I can appreciate Andy’s talent and discontinue judging what I don’t understand.

It's incredible to see someone excel at something they are so passionate about because they put in the hard work to achieve their goals. It's even cooler to see such a humble, kind, down to earth person doing it. Favorite skater...hands down.

Started at 40 and it truly is insane the feats that skateboarders do. Anything involving taking the board away from the feet to bring back is just a nightmare. I'll stick to carving cause I'm too old to punish my body. But i have huge respect for anyone that can do an ollie, and flipping or spinning the board, you are a superhero, those moves take guts. Even manuals seem so sketched out, doing it on such tiny wheels is spooky. 😅

@@antidote5125I mainly go to skateparks but there's a website where you can find a lot of street spots from Prague. It's pretty well made. The spots are categorized (rails, stairs, ledges, gaps, banks, manual ledges, etc.), there's a map, photos of the spots, short descriptions that even include info about potential security and so on. I can't put the link here because RU-vid will hide the comment but if you google "skate spots prague" it should be the top result.

Love to Powell Peralta, Andy the entire team. Extra shoutout to Mogley! Eh I liked the 'patient hard working' main theme featured, the minimal style indy track minimalized the majesty of the footage [I probably just offended one of his good friends 😅] and the fluttery epic piano featured on big parts was somewhat cheesy, I want to front a Powell Peralta rock group, I need to annoy them first so they say "why don't you do it better then"; it's a business strategy 😋😇🫒

Man I've seen hundreds of videos and skate clips over the years but NOTHING like this. I actually fucking cried. I can only imagine it's how people felt watching man walk on the moon. It's like watching a man break free from the shackles of reality. I've never seen a skater who seems more free. A level in which nothing is impossible and EVERYTHING is possible. I have honestly never seen anything more beautiful on a skateboard. I can't believe some of those clips can actually exist all in one part - my mind can't comprehend that it's possible. Honestly, thank you Andy. Thank you so much. What it must be like to see the world through your eyes. (I can only imagine it's like the matrix and everything is flowing green lines of code or something) That has brought me more joy and redefined what I ever thought could be possible more than any other skate part I've ever watched.

If only I had my original board from back then I'd probably still be riding it. Maybe someday I'll be able to save up and get a new one... Specifically Andy's signature board so I can still do freestyle, and maybe some flat ground tricks. 😁👍🖤
