Rebecca, your an ANIMAL when it comes to knitting! ( but a cute one) Holy moly! Look at all you’ve got on the plate! Do love all the cables! Wow! Best wishes for finishing all your deadlines! I loved last episodes dessert island yarns so much! May need to watch it a third time! ClaudiaSJI

Oh, dear heart, I'm not even sure where to begin... I am fairly certain that many of your viewers don't fully understand just how hard it is to get a wrap sweater ~ or a wrap *anything* ~ to fit. As a (formerly professional) seamstress and eons old knitter, I applaud your ingenuity and stick-to-it-iveness in designing a wrap that will fit a real human body and not just a paperdoll figured model. I have every confidence in your ability to make us all look smashing, and I already have yarn lined up for a wrap when the pattern is released. The Tolsta tanks, camisoles, and other sleeveless incarnation are exactly what my upcoming summer needs! I am ordering yarn(s) with sparkle and pallettes and (if I can find some) beaded silk. We have a trip planned that will require some "fancy grownup" attire - Tolsta tops wouldbe perfect!

Your cabled sweaters are both stunning. Your work is beautiful, along with pattern and colors. Oh my, I was watching your lace swatches and loved them all and now to see the sweater in progress, wow, stunning. Can’t wait to see it. You accomplish a lot and put a lot of pressure on yourself but you are an incredible designer.

Rebecca - for the sleeve decreases, you could consider using methods employed in many vintage patterns and that is to change sleeve diameter by changing needle size. This is very effective, and oddly is not noticeable. Sirdar 1193 is one example. Love the orange on you! Enjoy your trip, I can't imagine trying to get ready to fly to other side of the world, never mind all this knitting and admin you have set yourself!

Rebecca - I love your videos, especially the photo shoots. I'm a New Zealander, so it's fun to hear you talking about your trip. I was last in Edinburgh in December to attend my daughter's wedding so some resonances in your stories. Can't wait to hear your stories about your trip. It's getting a bit autumnal here. Definitely sweater weather in the South Island, especially in the mornings.

Hello Rebecca, thank you very much for your videos. I love your work, your choice of colours, wools and designs. Congratulations, you are such a talented person and I love also your Scottish accent not difficult to understand at all for me, a Portuguese woman living in Paris for 34 years, since 1990. I’m so happy to listen to your podcasts and following you every week it’s a great pleasure. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. Never give up, you’re a wonderful person ❤

Hey 👋🏻😁 I’ve had a fun day of stash enhancement today, thanks to you 🤩 I looked up suppliers of Kinross 4ply and out of about a dozen in the country, there was one about half hour from me in Nottingham 🥳 I was a smidge skeptical about it feeling like cashmere when washed, but the shop had a swatch, and you weren’t kidding! I got 5 skeins in 5 different colours, thinking perhaps a colourwork hat/cowl/mitts/all 3 🤩So, thanks for your recommendation 👍🏻😁

My knitting group just did our first yarn swap. The way we did ours is you brought yarn and $5. The $5 went to the local food bank and then everyone who brought a donation has their name in a hat. The names get drawn and each person goes in order and chooses one thing or bundle and then the names go back in the hat and get drawn for each subsequent round. It was fun. And the leftovers no one claimed went to a local community centre. Lots of fun!

I had a thought, when you run out of Scotland beaches just use beaches that you visit in other countries. You are invited to Wasaga Beach here in Ontario Canada and you can stay here, we're an hour away!!

Rebecca, your v-neck, red, cabled cardigan is AH-MAZING. So, you are going to New Zealand, the Land of Sheep and Yarn, but you want to _bring_ yarn for a navy blue cardigan??? Why not treat yourself to some special New Zealand wool. Maybe some possum. :D

Hi Rebecca, Have a great time in Aussie and New Zealand good luck with wearing your wrap at the wedding, as weather might be mid to late 20s and humid (which is a killer). Keep up the good work with all your creations. Do try pineapple lumps in New Zealand.🧶🎉

I just discovered an invisible raglan increase method that works in pattern, lining up the pattern well. It just popped up and I watched it on James Cox Knits. Now, as I’m writing this I realize you were lamenting sleeve decreases not increases, but anyway, I really liked the technique so I’ll leave this comment in case it helps someone out there!😅

Also, have you thought about adding the detailing for the halter/tank from the stick season or even the cabling sweater you’re making? That would add a punch of detail to jazz it up. That actually would be what I want to do!
@scoutwasabi3597
@scoutwasabi3597 6 месяцев назад
The tank is so exciting!!! I wanted to note when we think of halter in USA it tends to be more tangled towards the neck (as a halter tank doesn’t have straps, it just sort of wraps around the neck), similar to what your are saying for the “tank” version. I don’t know if this is helpful, what you described is similar to like a apron front? Either way, super exciting!

Just one more favour I’m asking you : Sometimes it’s difficult for people living abroad to buy some brands of fibers you’re working with. For instance, for CASCADE wool I‘ve been searching in France, there are some resellers but they offer few colours choices. So if you could add in your posts some additional addresses of websites where we can order and buy these yarns it will be very helpful. Thank you very much 🙏 💐

Beautiful knits but red and orange come across horrible on the computer when we watch it back. Just an FYI for you. The design is lost on the screen.😢 I know white and cream is boring but from an advertising design it is the best option for the consumer to see. I purchased most of your designs, they are beautiful.
