Creality Ender 5 Plus Silent Upgrade. Sound / Noise comparison and power measurements. 

Just the motherboard. I am considering changing the fan in the power supply. It is noisiest part of the system.

That is a good question. Would be interesting to hear what is in the latest printers.

@@DanPattenAudioG33k I did my research and it seems that they still ship with the loud drivers.

I finished the upgrade last week. The difference is unbelievable.

That was pretty much me as well. Had not even used up the "starter" reel of PLA included with the machine when I placed my order.

@@DanPattenAudioG33k same here.. did you notice any difference in print quality? I had hear that tl smoothers don’t work on silent boards because they already reduce electrical noise so in theory silent board should also increase print quality..Any thoughts?

@@classiccam4647 I did not perform a lot of before and after prints so I can not say for sure. I do think it does print a little better though. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I only have experience with this single unit that I installed in my printer. Not sure what is going on with yours. Did you get it solved?

@@DanPattenAudioG33k Hello, unfortunately I couldn't solve it, I think I was awarded the only Ender 5 Plus that doesn't accept any silent motherboard in the world. :(

So it's a long story, but I'll try to make it short....okay What happened: In January of this year I bought an Ender 5 Plus here in Brazil in an online store. The printer came and worked perfectly. But like most Enders it comes without the silent card, so I decided to buy a card on the Aliexpress website, I believe you know or have heard of it. After a few weeks until the silent board arrived, I received it and decided to install it. To my surprise after the installation I turned it on, the initial image of "loading" appeared and after filling in the loading part to my surprise the following message appeared in Chinese: "waiting for loading" and it stayed there for hours. After 2 days I contacted the seller explaining the fact, I sent photos and videos of the problem. Summing up this part that doesn't interest you, after much discussion he sent me another card that arrived just 2 days ago. Observation: in that period I worked with her even noisy. After receiving the plate I was all hopeful to stop the noise from it, behold, the same problem occurred. All the same as the first time. The printer turns on... the loading image appears, but when it would be the case for it to show its workpiece, it does not load and the same message in Chinese "waiting for loading". Already indignant, I left it there for a few hours, but without any changes. I did the firmware update on it and nothing changed.
