I know I know. Sorry I was exhausted on only relized that the video exported in Portrait lol. Was going to remove it and redo it but decided not to but on my next video to double check. Sorry about that
HOLY POOP AND TOWER! Wow that's so much waste. The layer stacking doesn't look awful, but I'm a bit surprised it has issues with some overhangs. Seems like it prints reasonably overall. The size is nice. You definitely got a bargain though. The review embargo is truly bizarre.
Is this your first multi-color system? If so, then you'll pick up a ton of techniques that will allow you to dramatically reduce the poops (purge amount tuning, g-code customization for filament swaps, and even model techniques that can help reduce the number of color changes). I'll admit, though, that the #1 thing I use the AMS for is easy filament selection (it's embarrassing to say that things I should have printed in PETG got done in PLA just because it was loaded...and vice versa). The #2 reason (that the K2's size makes more important), is for filament backup. If you start getting low and aren't sure that you can finish your print with the spool that looks pretty low....just throw another of the same in and let it swap over when the little spool is empty. Also, if you don't care about the color....it's convenient for running out spool tails. :)
Thank you so much for your input. This journey with 3D printers has been quite the ride! I didn't keep the X1C for long because it broke within the first week, and dealing with Bambu's customer service was a nightmare. After a long wait and some serious persistence, I finally got the parts I needed. I fixed it and sold it almost immediately, so I didn’t have much time to play around with it. Someone handed me a broken X1C because they were discouraged, and after I fixed it, I sold that one too. Taking it apart was a nightmare, and its design didn’t sit well with me. But then came the 5 X K1 Max that I own, and now the K2 Plus, which have been a game changer. I’m excited about getting the CFS systems for each of my 5 K1 Max printers once they’re available.
I am putting mine on a sold wood desk I can stand on the desk so it going to be safe for the printer, it nice to see the LIVE setup Vs. hiding issues that come up
I am direct and transparent and take the time to show everyone as I go along :) I'm not here for Fame, I just want to share my views on the printer and be as transparent as I can be. Your comment is much appreciated. Thank you
Thank you for the videos, and also that you speak about the problems you found and showing detailed print quality. I should get my K2 Plus next month, so nice to know if it is good or not.
It is very good right out the box. Some issues but working with Creality to figure everything out. Will post another video on it next week. Like and subscribe to be notified when I posty future videos :)
Yes I spent alot of time creating the content to share with everyone and trying to respond to everyone. Wilkl do a better vvideo next time and drink more coffee lol.Appreciate your comment .
Thanks so much for your comment. Overall this machine is very good. Like every new product that hit the market, it may have a few kinks along the way but Creality will be there to support and stand behind their product!!! Replacement parts and upgrades won't be an issue unlike some other companies. They truly learned from past machines and mistakes other companies made so it is truly near perfect right out of the box. Hopefully you'll choose a K2 Plus :)
Hi, did the file for the poop Shute come with the printer because I am expecting my K2 plus next month as I got it with a reduction in price on a pre order, thank you in advance.
Definitely something wrong with the slicing on the turtle. Why was there brown on the purge tower and the supports? I don't see any brown on the turtle. Was the infill brown? That would help explain the amount of poop.
the multicolor printing isnt magic.. it has to do a filament change everytime it changes colors. If you are printing 4 different colors on every single layer then that means 4 poops every layer. You could have used red or green filaments for the supports on the turtle print so you would have to do one less filament change every layer and that would reduce the amount of waste
