Part 2 of the 8 things I learned today - Spending time with the K2Plus

I got to spend some time actually printing on the K2Plus today and I have never done a multi-color print before. I don't know what I'm doing but the product manager from #creality3d was standing beside me and teaching me stuff.
How to change the color of the print, How to start a print, what does the display on the CFS mean, where is the filament runout sensor (spoiler: there are 2 of them), and I even learned that it does not have to change colors after every layer in some situations - i will make my own print in this part and show you what I mean.
No timelapses here, I'm walking around learning stuff!
The video was too long to release it all together - this one is fun to watch. Who doesn't like to see a printer printing??

Creality is like getting a bambu printer off of the wish app. 😂 bambu needs to ge5 their head out if their ass and make a large formate printer with the new ams lite setup

I hope that's not the default purge amount. That much purging isn't required for a color change, especially when switching between light colors.

To be clear, it finished printing the same layer as the final blue layer with white filament. It didn't print "down." If it did, the nozzle would hit the already-printed model. Then, it finished by printing additional white layers.

You can print "down" on a layer or 2. Z-hop let's it move without hitting the printed layer. I've done this several times with manual changes.

Thank you for the video! It's good to see it printing. 1. Is the blue pulling up/warping on the lower right corner, or is that an optical illusion? ( at 1165 you can see what I mean). It may just be the light casting a shadow...since I assume you're using PLA and it's pretty good about NOT warping). 2. Did you say that the white was 'delayed' on MORE than the last blue layer? How many layers of blue was the 'hole'? 3. Show/weigh the default "poops" on future demos, please. (I'm curious...it LOOKS like it did a LOT of purging, but the slice was done from light blue to black, so the extra may have been to avoid 'grey' lettering. Thanks, again, Kevin

1. not lifting, it was stuck on there really good - i had to put down the camera to take it off. Must be a shadow you see - my apologies for the poor video quality. 2. it definitely did not print more than one blue layer - but i am not sure how many. I would like to see the slicer settings for this print. There was a definite gap in the blue before the white went on. I have never colored a sliced file before - maybe i should do that next. 3. I'm gonna run upstairs right now and get some poop from the machine. Maybe I should make my own print today - first one on the K2 Plus. Thanks for your questions and comments!

Can this be purchased without the ams? Just the printer? Any ides on price if so?

I'm sure that will be an option eventually. Right now they don't have any price details on the separate pieces. The more time I spend with the CFS, the more I like the idea of pre-loaded rolls sitting ready to use though.

It does, there are 2 boxes under lids under the filament spools where you can store your dessicants.

It’s ridiculous that such a large company is releasing content of such insanely low quality-480p resolution and a square screen. There’s nothing professional about it. The only reason I can think of for uploading this terrible quality is to prevent us from properly examining the footage. I have no idea how anyone could take pride in their work when it’s presented like this.
