I make this same cake in the same pan. I LOVE this pan and will be buying another very soon. When I make this cake, I make a caramel glaze and it is so delicious!

Yes, this looks delicious!!! Like a lot of commenters said, I'd skip on the icing also. (I usually don't do icing for 7-Up pound cake or Sour Cream pound cake either and those cakes are delicious by themselves!) This cake looks like it could stand on it's own; it does not need any icing. But icing is fine for anyone that wants it.)

That is the same recipe I use, but I don’t use cake flour. I read in a cookbook that cake flour doesn’t have enough gluten in it to support a heavy pound cake batter. But apparently cake flour still works here. I’ve always baked it at 325. But either way, this cake is delicious ! And cream cheese frosting is great! But I never add any milk because it makes the frosting too runny.

I made this cake on my birthday (the same exact day you guys made It or uploaded your recipe). THANK YOU! I wanted to give you 2 a shout out today! I went to Alabama to see my parents for Thanksgiving! We were preparing for family to come over. My mom got a call from my Aunt Mary who is 4 hours away from my mom. My Aunt told my mom to tell me to bake a pound cake. I felt like she put me on the spot because EVERYONE knows I don’t bake. I never baked for no one in my life. I said omg how am I going to do this? LONG STORY SHORT: I searched & searched on RU-vid to see who pound cake seem the best. I miss my mom. She use to make cream cheese pound cakes and sour cream pound cakes. I taught my 16 year old son how to make the sour cream pound cake this Thanksgiving. This week, he will make the cream cheese pound cake using this recipe. I praise God for sons that love the Lord, are great scholars and athletes, and know how to cook and clean.

I miss our moms home made pound cake she use to make it from scratch every time, someone time she would put some lemon extract. It was umm umm delicious! How long do you mix the cream cheese and butter then how long to mix once adding the sugar then how long after the eggs and flour

Mix butter, cream cheese and sugar for about 10 mins. Mix in ONE egg at a time until well combined. Mix in 1 cup of flour at a time until well combined.
