Howdy from Indiana USA state directly below Michigan, I have just recently come along on your journey around 840ish subs. Had to go all the way back to work my way forward watching every video & live you've put up. :)Thanks for the knowledge, rattling of my good country memories, your wonderful family (& values missing today) and the laughs. Now I must wait patiently on your next uploads which are slower than watching y'all 5-6 videos a day. LOL God bless you & yours. :)
The best intentions always seem to fall short when the equipment is broke lol...I look forward to seeing this work when you get the new separator, the old one was really a cool set up and I have never seen this done before
One day I do hope to have that old one fully restored, they don't make em like that anymore. I'll be sure to put a video up of the new seperator when we get it.
Oh no! So sorry you are having such a time with your separator. That MD was built to last. If you had a good machinist around close they could check that rod and make you a barring. That's just a jewel of a machine, I hate to see you give up on it, but I understand you need it to work. Pray you find just the right fit for your family. Blessings
I'm not giving up on it, hopefully either get it working again one day or just keep it as an ornamental piece. I'd like to rebuild it all though and use it. For now we just need something that works though and have ordered another small seperator
Fascinating! I’ve never seen a table top separator- when I was young my parents milked around 20 cows twice a day, but the separator was large. Do you make ice cream?
The big red one would be suitable for a larger herd and I hope to restore it one day. The table top one actually worked pretty good before it broke this summer but it was very slow going. We do have an ice cream maker but haven't made any since last winter.....might be high time to do that again!
