I made this for my husband last night, and this is what he said: "Please tell me you have a recipe for this...Please tell me you can make this again" It just so happened that I had fresh pasta: Ravioli with roasted butternut and sage filling. The sweetness of the butternut with this sauce was EPIC!!! I'm so glad you're doing this full time now, as a result we are SO Blessed.
Just straightforward clear cut instructions. No fuss no nonsense. No sexaul harassment of food. Thank you for teaching us great recipes with this sort of old school simplicity that never gets old. Thank you from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰❤
Here is the recipe: 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp olive oil 6 cloves minced garlic 400 ml baking/whipped cream Sprinkle salt and pepper 120 g baby spinach 60 g of grana padana cheese Sprinkle with more pepper, cheese, and extra virgin oil
Watched this video and decided on a whim to make it for dinner with what I had on hand. I used a mix of heavy cream, half and half, and milk, subbed arugula for the spinach, and used grated parmesan for the cheese. OMG was this delicious! I look forward to making it again the real way! Thank you!
@LaPBeau - I was wondering if we could use Parmesan instead. Thank You! Also - can the heavy whipped cream be subbed with anything else a lil lighter, but which tastes just as good?
@@PocketPataka You might be able to use just half and half, although it will be a little less creamy. I'm no chef, but I assume that anything lighter (such as milk) won't reduce correctly and you'd end up with a watery sauce and light flavor. I did a combo when I made it simply because I didn't have quite enough heavy cream on hand. This isn't a low calorie dish, but it's so delicious!
I love this recipe! I add shrimp and broccoli and it tasted so good. I undercook the pasta by about 3 minutes and cook for an extra 1.5 in the sauce. Always come out perfectly al dente!
i made something like this before but i blended the sauce just before when you add the pasta. it was just as good as this but created a vibrant green sauce instead. love this recipe!
Thank you for sharing this delicious looking recipe. I will give this a try in the following days! Could someone please tell me what to do with the remaining cooked pasta? -Can it just rest in the pot it was boiled in or does it have to be strained and eaten all? Thanks and God bless
YUMMY..thank you. I just love the no frills-no spills presentations. .Edit: By now we had this dish already three times. It gets better all the time. .
Man that looks GOOOOD! I want to make that dish now! Won't tell the fam it's got spinach in it. Snuck spinach in my lasagna. Hubby never noticed he was eating greens. LOL 💜
@@spazticle8752 carbonara does that, but it doesn't get the same consistency as cream. The recipe for carbonara does use eggs but with just cheese and water I think you're gonna get even worse results
