Good tutorial on that excellent utility. As I mentioned in another of your videos, nice clear diction at a good pace makes them easy to understand and remember. Thanks!
THANKS THANKS THANKS YOU MADE ME FACTORY RESET FINALLY I WAS SEARCHING FOR HP RECOVERY MANAGER BUT I I DIDINT FIND ANYTHING I TYPED HOW TO CREATE FACTORY RESET THIS HAPPENED AND FINALLY THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
Great video. One problem i found is that the Recovery is for a back up( correct)? But Brian doesn't mention I believe that it is made prior to any other software's being Installed. As the more software installed the bigger the Backup size. Make sure you have enough space on your Hard drive, before doing it.
+Britec09 Does I lost my personal data in other partitions when I restore the windows ?. (Data which are created in drives D, E After the image backup )
I have a question that I think most viewers would like to know.........The Aomei program created a recovery partition on the SAME drive as the operating system. Suppose the hard drive itself goes bad, Then there is no way to access the backup partition. Wouldn't it be more feasible to create the backup on an external drive, completely separate from the drive with the OS on it?To me it makes sense NOT to put your backup on the same drive as your OS just in case your hard drive has a catastrophic failure.Great video sir, Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :)
Nice video Britec09:-) i have youse AOMEI Backupper Standard & AOMEI PE Builder, i used free v in the beginning, and i have used it for many years now on 8 computers, it is nice in case your hard drive gets completely destroyed etc. The boot menu i use EasyBCD besause of multi boot= Aomei b & Microsoft Dart/ERD and some other tools
Amazingly brilliant and simple! But I believe you will be able top clarify this petty doubt of mine - 'Which one will be the best? 1. EasyBCD method to create recovery partition drive (although backup wouldn't be possible) 2. AOMEI OneKey Recovery, as explained in this video 3. Macrium Reflect 6.0 which I've heard to be the best from other trusted sources. Plus I saw you made a backup there, so how did you get it as a recovery drive on restart...I thought it would just be a FAT32 drive containing data and not recovery files. Which one should I go with for backup and which one for recovery? Thanks!
Brian Have watched your videos many times Do you know a quick easy way to clean notification area win 8.1 Thanks Ps I do not want to mess around with the registery
Does it format the partition before it restores the data on it? That's very important that it formats it, so that a clean recovery can be achieve. I hope the message was clear. Thank you
There is a problem with this. Suppose you do the backup on a different HDD, the main drive the OS is on fails. You replace the drive, then this program and your recovery partition will not be able to work correct? Why? Because of the MBR! Its on the failed drive. Am I right to assume that? Also, is this just a backup or a true recovery partition like HP, Dell, etc. do for their computers? Allowing you to reinstall the OS to a factory condition, including Windows activation? If so, then that would be nice. However, the 1st issue looms overhead. We do not recommend anyone do a backup or recovery partition on the same physical drive as the OS. Once the drive fails, you are pretty much done. Anyway, we are going to try this in shop to see how things go when we get time. Just thought I would see if you would know off hand as you reviewed it and should know these details.
Britec09 If i chose backup option (like you did in the video) and try to restore after few months, will it delete my data(pictures, docs...) created after the backup? Which option to chose so i don't lose my data?
once you have created the recovery, if you boot into the recovery partition and click the gear symbol at the top, you can change it from giving you a boot menu choice of windows or the recovery to showing you a recovery option before windows loads for 5 secs, stating press the "A" to start aomei recovery, this stays on screen for 5 secs and if you just leave it, in then just boots windows normaly
Can you create the recovery partition after the pc has been established and has software installed? Will it create a recovery of os and software installed or will it just make a copy of the os?
Also microsoft released a tool for creating media installation basicly it looks in your bios for your windows 8 key.... (why didn't microsoft do this before?)
when you back it up do it back up everything on the laptop like picture video program software that came with it and the software that you put on the laptop
Awesome video! But Brian I found a software years ago called "macrum reflect" it saved my ass countless times, I can't emphasis this software enough, it is a backup and restore and BIOS>>UEFI migrate tool. Plz consider taking a look at it.
Will this help me if I discover my PC/Laptop has been taken over by Microsoft and tricked into upgrading to Winblows 10 without my consent? I really don't like the idea of being assimilated by the new Microsoft Borg Assimilation campaign!!
Thanks Brian :D i did downloaded this utility last year, looked ideal for non techy people like me lol :D. Hey now ill make you laugh or cringe, for my very minimal laptop i have a dos imaging utill originally made by powerquest, "drive image", i boot into dos on a rewritable dvd and run it from the command line, data is on the dvd also. Yep i like tiny programs that do big jobs, not the other way around :)
Britec09 Well yep, i also loved using partition magic but things changed too much, so i use the free partotion managers now. Sometimes you have to use old methods to get you out of trouble, i wont forget dos, i enjoyed its simplicity, and it dont argue lol :-)
i have been using my latop and still i dont have this recovery partition if i do it now does it includes all the file or just the system when i first bought this laptop???and i also upgraded this to win 8.1 through the internet . .
I know this video is four years old but it appears they no longer offer this tool for free anymore. Does anyone know of a free alternative that does the same type of action that this program does? Downloading the demo is useless as it won't let you create the partition or do anything with it really.
