It would really help, as your proceeding through the various steps, to PRECEDE it with an explanation of what it is you're trying to accomplish. For example, when you're making those curved and straight lines on a sketch on the vertical plane you would precede that with an explanation, "Now we're going to create lines that, when projected onto the outside of the sphere. will form what look like the "seams" on the outside of the basketball". That way we know not only WHAT you're doing by WHY.

Thanks for the constructive and detailed feedback Roger, it is most welcome! I'll keep that in mind when I create videos from now on.

@@CADJungle My students prefer your straight forward approach without the extra explanation so it works for me.

It is a challenge to please everyone so I stay in the middle. As for my target audience, I try to focus on individuals who want to just jump in and do things through repetition. There are plenty of channels that focus on absolute beginners, so I chose to go this route.

How did you get the xz in the splitting tools
@CADJungle

To select a plane through an object, left-click and hold to get the faces or plane selections to appear. In this case the "xz" plane.

I was looking for a "real 3D surface", not only for render. Do you know any way to create a "rough/textured" surface for 3D printing? Thanks

Depending on how complex the surface is you can create certain surfaces or patterns in fusion360. In the example links below, I demonstrate how to create knurled surfaces. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jwI-9o_7mTY.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ypa9p5GS1xQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7WuHgcuTp6M.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KREK8u_Zesw.html
