Hi, I just found your channel. Great content. An easy way to do this is to generate the animation in Mixamo in place and then you just animate the stairs. When in blender you press (Shift E) while the cursor is hovering over the playback section and select Make cyclic.

That moment when you realise you have Mixamo access included in your Adobe package.
