Love your work. I’m a bit confused I followed all the instructions and got an override but I want this as a stand-alone skill without removing the original skill. Did I do something wrong?

I just got a question, so I want my Sims to be able learn how to read as childs, but I took the writing skill as a base, because its similar, but it says "MAJOR" there, now can I change it to CHILD and if yes, will the other Sims who aren't Childs and can't read still being able to learn how to read or how's it going to work?
@@luciathesylveon8082 there should be a way to add the skill to both child and adult. Look at the creative skill that a child starts once they finish imaginary skill or something like that 😅 I don’t play with children often. Just check the in game files
