I wish I could create a custom preference for my Sims to like cats and dogs, such as cows, lamas, chickens and all the animals that are in the game as of right now, choosing those as preferences with the Mod where you can choose as many preferences as you want would be so awesome. Traits should be traits, and things like loving cats or dogs and other things like being lactose intolerant or vegetarian should also be a preference imo.
Yes totally agree! I’m currently not doing any new tutorials because the game has become very much of the same for me. I’m unmotivated to play the sims. So I won’t be filming a tutorial about preferences any time soon. I do know there’s a mod out there that has the animals as preferences (saw it on twitter some day) but can’t remember from who

Thanks for the tutorial!! I get stuck on how to create wants and fears for my trait. For some reason the fear doesn't wanna work and maybe is because idk where should i place the fear idk if is on fear confrontation? Long term? Short term? Reactionary? And how to set goals for the fear as well. Idk if that is on main content? Post conditions? Or availability conditions? Sorry for being dumb
Hi, sorry for the very late reply. I still have to do research in creating fears because I’ve never created them. But a wants tutorial is coming tomorrow. Also I feel like you can’t create fears on MC5. So check the fear files in S4S.

When you open the trait in S4S there is a section that shows the ages. Then you just add the age you want to add to that list. If you’re unsure then open a trait that’s available for the ages you want and then just copy and past.

Yes just use the sims 4 studio. I only use MC5 because it has a nice overview but you can totally do it in the sims 4 studio. Just use a trait from in game as a reference.
Hi, I have decided to create a mod based on an idea I have and your tutorial has helped me greatly:) I do have a question tho: How would you create a hidden trait that occurs with a percentage chance (Let's say 5% of sims will get them). Also, can a hidden trait change to an unhidden trait? I've been searching everywhere but as you said there aren't that much info out there 🥲
Unsure if you can turn a hidden trait unbidden but you could create the same trait one hidden and one not. Then when the hidden one is removed that the unhdden one appears. And the percentage change has to be done in the sims 4 studio. I can’t think of any traits that might have the code but look into the games traits to check out the code for the chance
@@xosdr Thank you so much! This helps me a lot:) I went to Chat gpt so it can give me the script I would need to put in, but wasn't sure where to enter it. I'm glad to know it's possible and where to look! Will probably have to look at other sims 4 script to see if it matches the format, but at least that's a start 😅
