In this tutorial, I go over how to create a quick apartment scene using projection mapping. Also, just a heads up that this isn't a follow-along tutorial (just like my other tutorials) so you'll likely have to pause the video a couple times. I hope this is useful!

I came to practice creating scenes to learn how to make the one in my head. After watching the video, I know how to do it without making the apartment. I think that is a sign of a great tutorial. I sub'd and look forward to seeing your work.

Great tutorial 👍🏻 if you have node wrangler just click crtl T on the principled bsdf to get your image texture faster. Id also recommend plugging that image texture into a bump map as your final result looked great but very flat

Amazing results. Still a beginner so I will save this tut until I'm a bit more confident...but still excited to get stuck in to this type of environment and animation building. I love the Blender community. I used to hear so much enthusiasm towards the software and its family-like environment before I became a Blenderhead (well, an apprentice Blenderhead), and thought it was a bit over emphasized, but now that I am here I can totally relate to what everyone was on about. And it's people like you and their dedication to it that I am grateful for.

Why don't more people recommend this technique? It works better than anything procedural. Seems to be a taboo around using photo textures, as if it's considered 'too easy'?

Got stuck at 1:29! How are you able to select just that window? When I tab back to object mode, the cuts I made in Edit mode aren't clickable for me.

it's a kinda nooby question but actually what render do you use in this video is that Eevee or cycle - the reason why I was asking you is the window part. It became the trickiest part of all tutorial - I can't make a transparent window material that appears correctly in the render view or can be easy for render time. I tried your node into the cycle and it works - but why am I trying it into Eevee it needs some more so I can't understand what actually I doing wrong (I checked the alpha harshed into the settings section into the material tab and put a mark on the screen space reflection and refraction into the render tab). I got a result with added the principle BSDF and another mix shader plus to your node, and it got transparency but - something still looks not correct with strange waves on the glass surface that reflect something that not depends on it. hope you can help me. Thank You. (I using blender 3.1)

He chose the face and pressed U, he then chose project from view, you can then move the face around in the UV editor.

This is certainly an intermediate tutorial & not really meant for beginners (would recommend Blender Guru for that). However, most of the parts that I skipped were just repeating the same step. Let me know if you have any specific questions & I'd be happy to help.
