Guys I just saw that I blurred a really important step in the tutorial, which can be really confusing. So when you import your Mesh sequence, the data that you seek is stored in the mesh folder which you can find, when you open up the location where you saved your liquid sim bake. The data has the name fluid_mesh and the whole folder will be filled with files, that have that name (its like a png sequence). Dont click anything once you opened that folder with the addon, just type in the name of your mesh sequence (in this case fluid_mesh) and click select folder, also uncheck material per frame. I am very sorry, if this caused issues for you guys.
There is an error in Blender 4.0 when you import the OBJ sequence, it gives you python error, just use older version of blender if you come across the same error.
Hi, i have a problem with rendering an animation, everything looks good when i see it in a viewport but when i render it, water is just losing a texture and it looks like gradient map doesnt work
Hey! I’ve been stuck on it for 2 days for some reason my material isn’t showing; even when I render it. It’s just plain white. The material shows when I apply the modifiers but then my animation doesn’t work. I’m confused.
Great video mate. having an issue where the fluid won't collide with the text mesh. made a metaball around the same size and the text and rebaked it all and it worked. not sure with the text mesh is acting transparent. Cheers.
Is no one going to talk about the fact that when we bake & save it it's saved as ".vdb" files & not ".obj" files bcuz of which it's not possible to import the mesh sequence even by using the add-on?
I decided it like this: you need to find a folder named skr (in the ZIP archive) and it will contain python files, copipe the folder and insert it along the path Blender/your version/scripts/addons and one more thing, the addon does not work on version 4, only on 3.6
HEY I AM A BIGNNER IN BLENDER DIDNT ERACTLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU MEAN BY 1.I would try to mess around with the size of your emitter ✔ UNDERSTOOD BUT NOT THIS 2.or the resolution in your scene. Other than that you can try to recalculate the normals on the objects you are using and apply the transformation as well. I hope this helps :)
I think I meant the resolution of the simulation. Normals are basically the direction faces point in Space....its best you search for a video that is explaining it in detail. If you hit strg+a you can apply Transformations of your Object like the scale for example. If you do that you make sure that blender is calculating things correctly when it comes to the shape of your Object...again please search for further information and independend videos about this topic. Hop ethis helped u :)
Hey, I have a trouble with material stuff when I add the gradient it won’t show on the text, I can colour text only when I delete the node and just choose a basic colour. Sorry I’m a beginner:(
Make sure the Geo node mod with the material comes after the remesh+make sure you select your material via select Material Node in geometry nodes…hope this helps 😬
Yeah Liquid sims can be a bit random. Try to play around with the resolution, check if your normals face the right way and apply the scale of the objects in your scene....maybe this helps :)
Can't the Blender see your installed addon? You need to find a folder named skr (in the zip archive) and it will contain python files, copipe the folder and insert it along the path Blender/your version/scripts/addons and one more, the add-on does not work on version 4, only on 3.6
Hi, this is a really cool tutorial. However, I'm quite confused about the reason that the material of the water is not showing up on mine which is at 25:17 and I geniuenly want to know any way of sorting it out, thank you so much.
Yoyo, I think the problem is that your remesh mod comes after the geo node mod that is applying the material. Remesh is removing any material, that is applied before in the mod stack, so make sure your geo node mod with the material comes after the remesh. I think I forgot to mention that, sorry
Hey, sorry for the late answer, havent checked the comments in a while... So if you struggle with the particles not showing up, I would try to mess around with the size of your emitter or the resolution in your scene. Other than that you can try to recalculate the normals on the objects you are using and apply the transformation as well. I hope this helps :)
Heyy, thank you :) well I have Instagram @jojoisblending but since I am still a really small creator, I dont have that much content yet…I try to change that in the future
